For the longest time, I stayed in my comfort zone. I’ve been in the food business for over 10 years… And even before that, I was in my mother’s kitchen from the age of 15. So the knowledge has always been there. The experience has always been there. But sharing it? Putting myself out there? That didn’t come as naturally. This year, I made a quiet decision to step forward. To speak. To share. To impact. Sitting on that panel at the CEIBS Masterclass, I realized something. Growth truly lives outside the comfort zone. I surprised myself. And from the feedback, I was reminded that our stories, the ones we sometimes hold back are exactly what someone else needs. I’m especially grateful to the incredible women I shared the panel with thank you for making it such an easy, fun, and safe space to open up and share our journeys together. I learned so much from each of you. And to Eugenia, @iam_girlonthemove thank you for pushing me to go for it. Sometimes we just need that little nudge. Special thanks to @prestigekente for our beautiful sashes such a perfect touch. This is me choosing to show up more. To share more. To give more. Because impact doesn’t happen in hiding. Here’s your reminder for the week: Step out. Speak up. Someone is waiting for what you carry. #MondayMotivation #PayItForward #WomenInBusiness #CEIBS #flamingfoodsgh

Building bridges between Europe and China 🇪🇺🇨🇳 In a rapidly changing, multipolar world, the relationship between Europe and China is becoming more crucial than ever. Building strong, responsible connections requires leaders who can navigate differences through dialogue, mutual understanding and respect. During a high-level exchange led by Prof. Léon Laulusa, Dean & Executive President of ESCP, and Frank Bournois, Dean & Vice-President of CEIBS (@ceibs_official_site), two leading European figures shared their insights on the future of Europe–China relations: 🇪🇺 Charles Michel, former President of the European Council 🇫🇷 Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister of France, ESCP alumnus & CEIBS Distinguished Professor Drawing on decades of public leadership, they highlighted that tomorrow’s leaders will need more than technical skills: curiosity, intercultural intelligence and the ability to manage differences responsibly are essential in a world where international cooperation is no longer optional. These reflections echo the ambition behind the ESCP–CEIBS Global Master in Management, designed to immerse students in both European and Chinese environments and prepare them for leadership at the intersection of these regions. 🔗 Learn more about the ESCP–CEIBS Global Master in Management (link in bio) #ESCP #CEIBS #EuropeChina #InternationalEducation #GlobalMiM

I recently honoured an invitation to join a panel discussion in South Africa, on the theme: “Choosing the Right Postgraduate Programme as You Unlock the Path to Strong Management Success.” It was an incredible experience engaging with both emerging professionals and seasoned executives—many navigating important decisions about their next steps in education and career development. Our conversation reinforced how the right postgraduate programme can be a powerful launchpad for leadership and long-term growth. I was also proud to share insights about CEIBS and how its globally renowned programmes and network continue to shape the next generation of business leaders. Grateful for the opportunity, and deeply inspired by the passion and potential in the room. #CapeTown #SouthAfrica #Leadership #PostgraduateStudies #CEIBS #CareerGrowth #fyp #Travel #GhanaToTheWorld
Strategic Thinking. Sisterhood. Growth. It’s not every day that women entrepreneurs get the space to pause, reflect, and strategize and that’s exactly what we did! Exactly a week ago, I had the privilege of joining my fellow CEIBS WELA 2022 alumni for a Strategy Day Out, masterfully facilitated by one of our own, Dedo. The day was filled with soul-stirring conversations, business spotlights, personal clarity sessions, and powerful insights from thought leaders like Prof. Shameem Prashantham and Dr. David Kelvin Amoo-Osae Jnr. And our very own @i.am.dedo From discovering the grit behind our visions to mapping real-time action plans, it was a day of knowledge sharing, innovation, and renewed commitment to our journeys as women entrepreneurs. Grateful to be part of a community that sees the value in planning today for our tomorrow. 🌱 Don’t hesitate to contact Dedo for your next strategy session. She got this . 🔎Shifting to Consumption: CEIBS Professor Bala Ramasamy on GDP Growth and China's 15th Five-Year Plan In this macroeconomic analysis, Bala Ramasamy, Professor of Economics, Associate Dean and Director of the Global EMBA (GEMBA) Programme at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), explains why China must rebalance its economy toward domestic consumption to secure long-term growth. Currently, consumption accounts for roughly 40% of China’s GDP, compared to nearly 70% in the United States. This imbalance increases vulnerability to external shocks, trade tensions, and geopolitical uncertainty — particularly amid continued uncertainty surrounding current US leadership. For decades, China’s growth model has leaned heavily on exports and production capacity. he argues that under the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan, China must shift emphasis toward consumption — strengthening the domestic demand base and reducing reliance on external markets such as the US and EU. Key themes from this discussion: • Why 40% consumption makes China externally vulnerable • Comparison with US consumption-driven growth • Export dependence over the past 30–40 years • The strategic importance of the 15th Five-Year Plan • Production-side vs. expenditure-side GDP focus • Building domestic economic resilience • The critical role of consumer confidence Prof. Ramasamy emphasises that China’s fundamentals remain strong — infrastructure, industrial capacity, human capital, and technological capability. The missing ingredient, he argues, is confidence among Chinese consumers. If that confidence strengthens, China could sustain another 20 years of strong economic performance. This conversation offers a clear framework for understanding China’s next growth phase — and why domestic consumption may define its economic future.
