Why I didn’t like working as a cabin crew for Emirates and resigned… ✈️ This might sound controversial, because for so many people becoming a flight attendant is a dream job. And trust me… at some point, it was mine too. But here’s the truth no one really talks about 👇 At the beginning, everything feels magical. You’re living in a new country, wearing a beautiful uniform, staying in luxury hotels, and waking up in different cities around the world. It looks like the ultimate lifestyle. But behind that aesthetic… there’s a reality that’s not always shown on Instagram. The schedule? Exhausting. Your body clock? Completely broken. One day you’re having breakfast in one country, the next day you don’t even know what time zone you’re in anymore. You miss birthdays, holidays, and simple moments with people you love. And that hits differently when you realise you’re building a life that doesn’t really feel like yours. It can also feel surprisingly lonely. Yes, you’re constantly surrounded by people, but real connections are hard when everyone is on different rosters, different flights, different lives. And then there’s the pressure. Always looking perfect, always being “on,” always smiling — no matter how tired or overwhelmed you feel. Don’t get me wrong — I’m grateful for the experience. It taught me independence, resilience, and gave me memories I’ll always carry with me. But it also made me realise something important: ✨ A job can look perfect on the outside and still not feel right for you. And that’s okay. Choosing yourself, your peace, your routine, your people… will always be more important than chasing a “dream” that doesn’t actually make you happy.
