Calendula Series | Part 1 Calendula Infused Oil: Dried calendula flowers Sweet almond oil (enough to completely cover the flowers) Fill a clean, dry glass jar about halfway with dried calendula flowers. Cover completely with sweet almond oil (or another carrier oil like jojoba oil), making sure all flowers stay submerged. Infuse for 3–6 weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking every few days. Strain through cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer and store in a clean glass jar. Save that oil 👀 We’re just getting started. Follow for Part 2 🌼 Comment “oil” and I’ll send you the sweet almond oil I use + dried calendula! #calendula #calendulaoil #herbalremedies #homeapothecary #herbalskincare
• 500 ml biologische plantaardige olie (olijf, zonnebloem, amandel, jojoba, kokos etc.)

Today, Lammas marks the beginning of the harvest season, a time to pause and recognise the fruits of our labour. Here at Weleda, we’ve been harvesting our biodynamically-grown calendula flowers from our gardens right here in the UK🌼 We caught up with Emma, our experienced gardener with over 20 years in the horticultural industry, to discover why calendula has long been such a beloved botanical. From its skin-soothing benefits to the reason it’s found in so many of Weleda’s products and formulas, Emma shares what makes this vibrant flower so special. Lammas is a time that reminds us to be grateful for what has been grown through effort, collaboration, and care🌿 #weleda #calendula #naturalskincare #calendulaharvest #weledagardens
Salve making day 👏🏻 Here I’m making 2 salves: One for eczema, infused with calendula and marshmallow root and another for aches and pains, infused with arnica, St. John’s wort and comfrey.
Calendula usually gets all the attention for infused oils and salves, but its cheerful golden petals also make a beautiful naturally fermented soda. Lightly floral, slightly spicy from fresh ginger, and gently bubbly, it’s one of those recipes that makes you feel connected to the season. Naturally fermented sodas have been made in homes around the world for generations. Unlike commercial soft drinks, these beverages rely on naturally occurring yeasts and beneficial bacteria to create their gentle fizz. As they consume the honey, they produce tiny bubbles and develop a complex, refreshing flavor. It’s less about recreating a sugary soda and more about celebrating the magic of fermentation and the abundance of the garden. Every batch is a little different, alive with the microorganisms that have been helping humans preserve food and create delicious drinks for thousands of years. Calendula Ginger Honey Soda Ingredients 1 cup fresh calendula 2-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced ¼ cup raw honey 1 quart filtered water ¼ cup active ginger bug (liquid) Directions -In a clean glass jar, combine the calendula petals, sliced ginger, raw honey, filtered water, and ginger bug. -Stir well until the honey dissolves. -Cover the jar with a cloth secured by a rubber band (or a loose-fitting lid) and leave it at room temperature. -Stir once or twice each day. -After 4–5 days, you should notice bubbles forming and the aroma becoming pleasantly floral and slightly yeasty. -Strain out the ginger and calendula flowers. -Pour the liquid into a clean swing-top (pop-top) bottle. -Allow it to undergo a secondary fermentation at room temperature for 1–3 more days to build carbonation. -Refrigerate once it reaches your desired level of fizz, and always chill well before opening. The garden has a way of reminding us that some of the most beautiful things simply take a little patience. A handful of flowers, fresh ginger, raw honey, and time become something sparkling, joyful, and worth sharing around the table.
#ringelblume #ringelblumensalbe #calendula #naturkosmetik #naturkosmetikselbermachen
