It’s not “another Bible,” and we certainly don’t use it the same way. But the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a really great resource for clarifying any questions about what the Church ACTUALLY teaches — not what you think you remember learning in 3rd grade religion class at your Catholic school or what someone who “used to be Catholic” explained to you.
Have you read it? If you have, what’s one thing the Catechism clarified for you?

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: There appears to be a serious Catechism shortage among people who have been Catholic their whole lives. 😭😂
“Yo he sido Católico toda mi vida” is beautiful… pero amor, ¿cuándo fue la última vez que abriste el Catecismo? 👀
The Catechism isn’t “extra Catholic homework.” It helps us understand what the Church teaches, why she teaches it, and how Scripture, Tradition, the Sacraments, and the Christian life fit together.
I’m still learning too. I’ve got a LOT to learn. But being Catholic for 10, 20, 40, or 70 years doesn’t automatically mean we know our faith.
So tonight’s breaking news: dust off the Catechism. 😂📖
Because “I’ve been Catholic my whole life” tells me how long you’ve been here… not how deeply you know what you profess. ❤️🔥

EXPLAINING THE HOLY TRINITY |
I think the Holy Trinity is one of the hardest Christian beliefs to explain, especially to children. We believe in one God, but three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The problem is that some of our favourite analogies can accidentally teach ancient heresies. The three leaf clover can make God sound like three separate parts, which leans towards partialism. Water being ice, liquid and steam can make it sound like one Person simply changing forms, which leans towards modalism.
Every analogy eventually breaks down because God is not simply a bigger version of something in creation.
One of the least problematic ways I have heard comes from St Augustine’s reflection on love: the lover, the beloved, and the love between them. The Father eternally loves the Son, the Son eternally loves the Father, and the Holy Spirit proceeds as that eternal Love.
What I love about this is what it reveals about God. Before anything was created, God was already love. He did not need to create us because He was lonely or needed someone to love. Love already existed eternally within the life of the Trinity.
One God. Three Persons. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
And even these words cannot fully contain the mystery of who God is.

Catholicizing your family's day doesn't take a 45-minute catechism lesson, just a little Catholic spin on dinner you're already making, whether that's tacos for Our Lady of Guadalupe or shepherd's pie for Saint Patrick's Day.

ever wanted to start reading the Bible, or start reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church, but you don't know how to start? it's a valid concern! here's my advice for how to start each of them. #catholicwoman #catholicconvert #catholicfeminist #spiritualdirection #progressivechristianity
Catholic denies hell….
A popular and influential Catholic online claims there was no hell in the Old Testament and misrepresents official Catholic teaching as well as what the Bible clearly says.
In the Roman Catholic Catechism, paragraph 633, it clearly states that Sheol and Hades are the same place.
This is also brought out by the Apostle Peter in Acts 2:27 when quoting Psalm 16:10.
People need to be very careful listening to unauthorized voices about what the Catholic Church officially teaches.
Noah, as I’ve stated before, you’re more than welcome to join a live Q&A on my channel at any time. Also, if you’ll find a Roman Catholic priest in communion with the Church to join you, we can have a moderated conversation. The ball’s in your court. Send me an email when you find a Catholic priest. @jesusandwhatnot
For four weeks, we are going to look at some of the biggest claims Rome makes about authority, salvation, the papacy, Mary, the Eucharist, the Mass, tradition, the saints, and more.
The goal is not just to give you information.
It is to help you become clearer, more confident, and more prepared for real conversations with Catholics.
If you care about understanding Roman Catholicism accurately and helping Catholics examine what they have been taught in light of Scripture, I would love to have you join us.
