“My name is Mike Blabac, and I’ve been a photographer for the past 30 years. I moved to San Francisco at 19 to skateboard for the summer, and ended up photographing my friends who were pro skaters. This led to working as a photographer and getting a retainer at a skateboarding magazine. My education was being in the streets, creating images for the pages of the magazines that I grew up pouring over as a kid. I’ve had countless cameras over the years, which eventually led me to using Leica cameras. Whether it’s action, portraiture, or scenics, I love the process of creating what I envision using Leica lenses and the M system. It is the purest tool for photography.” - @blabacphoto What does the Leica M mean to you? Women Who Make History Episode 1: @akeiraakeira x @meetcramer 🌞🫂 Drops tomorrow Edit: it's available now via the link in my bio!

“This is The Franken Leica series - if you are unfamiliar with this project, the intent is to give “ugly” Leica cameras a second shot at life, make use of spare parts, and build slightly* more accessible and cost effective cameras for those looking to get their first classic M camera.    All Franken Leicas are serviced to the same standard as their show-room “minty” counterparts. I love underdog cameras and I especially love ugly beat up Leicas. It is a pleasure to pick up one of these cameras and feel how smooth they are running despite their outward appearance. This service renews the camera’s function and viability for another generation and gives me a chance to play around and get creative between my daily repair jobs.” - Ryan Jones   To see more of Ryan’s work, follow @rj__repairs . . . #leicacamerausa #chasingleitz #leicaleitz #leicalook #frankenleica #leicafilm

Did you know the Leica Gallery Boston has another exhibition space just outside our main gallery? Steve shows us just how easy it is to get there from the store! Right now in the @hiltonbostonparkplaza hallway, we’re showing prints from Mav Fernandez’ @mavvro series ‘Between Them.’ Fernandez has always been fascinated by siblings. As an only child, he has no personal understanding of what it means to have a brother or sister. The photographs and text presented here explore, and in many ways indulge that curiosity. Stop by to see this beautiful work from Mav, learn more, and to see what else we have hanging in the store and gallery! #LeicaBoston #BostonArts #chasingleitz

I will never rep a company that I don’t think is high quality or that I don’t use. @owlkrown is a company that I fully believe in and make the highest quality accessories for Leica cameras. @gastonshutters is very tedious with his R&D and I love that. Even if you don’t have a Leica check out their straps. Very high quality and built to last! . . . . #austinphotographer #austinportraitphotographer #chasingleitz #leica #sl2s #sl3 #leicaleitz #myleicaphoto #leicalook #q343 #Q2monochrome #myleicaphoto #ev1

“While I’m out exploring, I love to immerse myself and capture life as it happens around coastal environments. That’s where I feel most inspired. So my work often consists of those little moments caught out on the street and near the beach. The Q3 has been my absolute favorite camera to do just that.   I had so much fun shooting stills on this camera as it brought me back to my roots in street photography. It allowed me to be more present with the moment by having such a simple yet powerful setup.” - @wavechase . . . #leicacamerausa #chasingleitz #leicaleitz #leicalook #leicaq3
