Did you know that Chatham has seen two major breaks in its barrier beach in the past few decades?
In 1987, a powerful storm caused the first breach, opening Pleasant Bay to the Atlantic Ocean.
And then in 2007, another breach occurred this time turning North Beach into an island.
These changes also lead to the creation of Lighthouse Beach, a popular new spot in town.
So check out Chatham this summer before it changes again!

Yesterday, Dr. Greg Skomal, with the @massmarinefisheries, working with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, tagged the first white shark of the 2022 season! The shark was located off the Chatham north inlet and was estimated at 12 feet in length.

WOW! If you are an oyster lover this is a MUST DO in New England. @chathamshellfishco gives private tours of their oyster farm in the ocean and I loved every minute of it.
Details:
+ Tours are offered May to June and then September to October (they work really hard mid-summer)
