#Checkmat
Every time we face adversity, we have an opportunity. An opportunity to face our fears and do it anyway.
We all feel the same things:
Fear. Nerves. Anxiety.
But these feelings are temporary. They’re fleeting.
So I encourage you all to root yourself in the things that don’t change:
Your family loves you.
Your team has your back.
And you’ve already shown courage just by choosing to step onto that mat.
Our bodies are strong. We’ve trained for this.
Our hearts—even stronger.
Now is the time for our minds to lock in.
We are capable of so much more than we realize. A lot of times, our minds will try to give out before our bodies do. So when things get hard, keep your mind strong.
What we’re doing isn’t easy—but it’s also nothing new.
We’ve felt fear before.
We’ve felt nerves before.
We’ve been tired before.
We’ve felt pain before.
The question is: Can you remain calm in the midst of chaos?
Can you breathe through the butterflies?
Can you trust your training, execute your game plan, and make the right moves in the moments that matter?
It’s you against you.
Overcome your fears, your doubts, and your insecurities. Step onto that mat and showcase your skill to the very best of your ability.
Be present. Be brave. Trust yourself.
And no matter what happens out there, know that your team is always in your corner.
It’s my honor to compete alongside you all. 🤜🏼❤️🔥🤛🏼
