Climbers out here researching peptide stacks and obsessing over the optimal training plan all while sleeping 5 hours. Recovery doesn’t get more complicated as you get older. The basics just matter more. Sleep. Consistent load. Stress your body can actually absorb. The climbers I see thriving in their 40s and 50s aren’t doing anything special. They just stopped skipping the fundamentals. . . . #climbinginjury #climbingphysio #climbingrehab #trainingforclimbing #climbforlife

A warm-up is not just a formality before training — it is one of the most important parts of the training process. To be honest, neglecting it is exactly what led me to injuries several times. Because I did not warm up properly and failed to prepare my body well enough, I ended up with strains that took a long time to recover from. When we ask our body to handle hard, intense, or near-limit efforts, it has to be ready for that demand. If certain parts of the system are not prepared, those are often the places where things start to break down. And instead of progress, we get overload, pain, and setbacks. But a warm-up is not only about reducing injury risk. It also helps you feel your body better, enter the session more effectively, handle the load more efficiently, and ultimately get more out of your training. A good session does not start with the first hard move — it starts with proper preparation. 👉EternaClimb — True strength starts with health Link in BIO🔗 #climber #climbing #climbinglife #rockclimbing #climbing_is_my_passion
Friends don’t let friends max hang at the end of the session There’s nothing wrong with maximal strength training. But there’s a time and a place for it. Certain habits really increase your risk for injury. Learning what strategies to use and when to use them is a huge part of reducing your injury risk. Build injury resilience through smart training tactics. This is the way 👊 #climbing_is_my_passion #climbingrehab #climb

This simple pattern teaches you how to rest efficiently on the wall, manage your pump, and recover while hanging. It’s a skill that pays off whether you’re projecting, tackling multipitch routes, big walls, or just enjoying long days at the crag. #techniqueoftheweek #climbon #sendit
Happy Spring Season y'all. What a weird winter it's been & even weirder calendar year it's been for me. After a full year of recovering from 2 pretty bad falls, resulting in a Left ATFL tear & a Right partial Achilles tear...feeling grateful & psyched to be getting back to sending the classics in LCC. WILD to think it's almost been 4 years out in Salt Lake City a place I now call home. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT OVER THE LAST YEAR! -GevityFit 🧗🤟💪 #climbingcoach #sportclimbing #bouldering #longevity #fingerstrength
Even after coaching and rehabbing over 100 climbers, it’s still always exciting to have climbers see upper body strength gains elevate their climbing - Without silly band exercises or hundreds of pull ups! If you’re going to rehab and train, make sure it’s climbing-specific. Specifically, train your ability to hold tension through your arm when it’s straight and bent. Work with someone who understands climber problems and climber solutions. If you’re still searching for how to get out of pain and start pushing grades again, DM me “READY” and make this upcoming season your best season yet. ‌ #climbingpt #climbingphysio #trainingforclimbing #bouldershoulders #climbstrong
Great session yesterday with @ryano92_ @climbinghut_ep I was feeling reasonably tired yesterday after a long session Wednesday. I had a hard session Wednesday so I was looking for more volume yesterday. Not every session needs to be a try hard session. When doing multiple sessions per week it's important to break it up and have a plan. I used my try hard sessions to find future projects and volume to reinforce movement patterns and consistency. I'm not always in a position to get a lot of climbing in. So it's important to have a solid plan but also be easily adaptable around circumstances.
