Trying to cause the biggest, most destructive smash up was almost as fun as the racing itself!! Race Driver GRID (2008, Codemasters) Codemasters' series of racing titles that began with TOCA Touring Car Championship made it onto seventh generation consoles with Race Driver GRID. The progression was simple. Graduate through the clubman and national level events, through to the bigger and more international series that culminated with participation in the 24hr LeMans. The ultimate goal was to defeat the current top team, Ravenwest Motorsport. The variety of motorsports on offer wasn't as diverse as TOCA Race Driver 3, but it still had more than enough to satisfy! Touring cars, prototypes, open wheelers, JDM, drifting and even demolition derby were just some of the motorsports on offer. The handling model has been tweaked again, aiming for more predictable rear-end grip and cleaner traction on exit. Kerbs feel less like landmines. High-speed confidence is improved. It’s still accessible for controller players, but there’s a bit more depth for those running wheel setups. Career mode continues evolving, with deeper team progression, contract decisions, and small realism touches that make long saves feel less repetitive. My Team remains a fan favourite, especially for those who like building their own F1 legacy from scratch. Visually, the lighting and track details are sharper. Night races feel moodier. Street circuits feel tighter. And yes, the liveries and driver lineup are fully updated. Is it a massive leap from F1 24? Not exactly. Is it a more polished and stable experience? Definitely. For hardcore sim racers, it still won’t replace dedicated sims. But for the F1 fan who wants official teams, real tracks, and career immersion, this is still the go-to. Have you played it yet? I still don't know this guy's name, but I never got through a playthrough without him coming and yelling at me at least once! 😂😂😂 V8 Supercars Australia 3 (Aka TOCA Race Driver 3) Codemasters, 2006 The third TOCA Race Driver game was so good that it still stands up today! The car list included fully licensed V8 Supercars, DTM, Indycar, British GT, Palmer Audi, and even some Williams F1 cars, but that wasn't even all of it! With a further variety of touring cars, classics, off-road, open wheelers, and GT, there really was something for everyone! Every car had realistic degradation and damage, with tyres blowing, radiators overheating, gearboxes breaking, and of course plenty of body deformation as cars took punishment. The track list was equally varied. Classics like Donington and Oulton Park mixed with then-brand-new race tracks like Shanghai, Istanbul, and Bahrain offered plenty of options for any driver. Vem aí um novo simulador de Rally, o EA Sports WRC (World Rally Championship) Já me diverti muito pilotando em jogos de Rally, o mais recente que andei foi o DIRT 2. Na minha opinião esse tipo de jogo é muito bom para receber amigos em casa e fazer aquela competição. Diferente dos simuladores de corridas no asfalto. Esse tipo de jogo tente a ser mais permissivo com técnicas de pilotagem. Normalmente sempre aparece um amigo mais loco que vem baixando teu tempo até desmanchar o carro em uma árvore 😂 Esse jogo foi desenvolvido pela EA Sports em parceria com a Codemaster, que é a criadora de série DIRT Rally que já fez bastante fans.
