He told me being in a video was his DREAM. ❤️🎥 A family from Columbus, Georgia came into Big Lee’s, and their son asked if he could be featured in the video. Of course I said yes. But I also wanted to give him something more meaningful than just a few seconds on camera. I told him that if he wants to reach his dreams and goals, he has to work hard and stay consistent. That's something I've had to do myself to get Big Lee’s where it is today. We ended with a fist bump, and I signed the tray he brought with him. 👊🏾 Maybe this was just another day at Big Lee’s for us, but hopefully it becomes a memory that inspires him to keep chasing whatever he wants out of life. We finally made it to Santo Corazon on Veterans, right across from Old Town! They’ve been open for a while, but this was our first chance to check them out. First thing you notice? The decor, artwork, paintings and TVs definitely set the vibe. Customer service was great and our server did a great job explaining the menu and answering our questions. The fresh chips and salsa hit the table immediately, and we started with a couple of tacos. For the entrées, Tee kept it safe with the chicken fajitas and really enjoyed them. I ordered the roasted chicken. Roasted chicken probably isn’t the first thing you think about ordering at a Mexican restaurant, but LISTEN… 🔥🔥🔥 That chicken was tender, well seasoned, marinated and packed with flavor. The surprise for me was the charro beans. Our server told us someone comes in around midnight to start slow cooking them for the next day. This was my first time having charro beans and the best way I could describe them was like Mexican-style black-eyed peas with seasoning and flavor. 😂 I’d come back just for those beans! Overall, really good food, great atmosphere and great customer service. Definitely recommend checking Santo Corazon out if you haven’t already.
