"Echoes of her Presence"💖 I started painting this one over a year ago, but between the house move, this one somehow got sidetracked with only the background done and a few weeks back I finally worked on this one again, and it has literally changed me!!✨ She reminds me of a woman who can walk into a room without saying a word and yet somehow everything changes, she is noticed by everyone and she is respected by everyone!💖 I played a lot with mixed media on this one and she's even got so many transformative words embedded into her. I think she's not posing, she is not waiting to be seen, but her strength can still be seen abd felt💫 Even when the painting is quiet, even when the viewer steps away, there’s a feeling that stays. And I hope, if she finds her way into your home, that she’ll bring that same feeling with her.💖 Her final layers are completely oils, so definitely she's an oil painting masterpiece waited to be collected for the most beautiful home💞 #geethuchandramohanart #superwomanartist #mixedmediaartist #contemporaryartist #artcollector

Should I paint these as a set or sell them as individuals? These frames were thrifted. Nothing special about them at first glance—just overlooked objects that had already lived one life and were waiting for another. And that’s what I love about them because I think creativity works the same way. You don’t always begin with something perfect. You begin with something available. Something in front of you. Something you can change. White primer. Paint. A decision to begin. And suddenly, something old becomes a blank slate again. #DIYart #contemporaryArtist #homedecorIdeas

My favorite part of working on unstretched canvas is the trimming. When I first started cutting my floorcloths back in 2000, trimming large 8’ x 10’ canvases was physically painful and exhausting. Everything changed when I discovered this tool at a local hardware store — it made the process so much easier and precise. It works beautifully on heavy-weight canvas and cardboard. For thinner canvas, it moves too fast and becomes harder to control.
