Cook with me while I tell you all about my favorite day of the month: COOKBOOK CLUB 👩🏻🍳📚
How it started, how we choose the cookbook, how we host it each month, what everyone brings, and all the things that make it my favorite night.
Basically… a book club, but we eat the book. 😂

Back to school, but make it Bon Vivant. 🍎📚
✨ As the kids head back to school and everyone settles into a new rhythm, I’ve been thinking about my own fall curriculum—and, naturally, it involves food, books, wine, and sitting around the table.
🍎 This fall, I’m introducing two ways to learn, cook, and enjoy the season together:
📖 Cookbook Club — and we’re starting with one of my all-time favorites: Ina Garten’s Barefoot Contessa. In honor of @inagarten 14th cookbook coming out this October, we’re going to cook our way through her collection—one recipe from each of her 14 cookbooks, over 14 weeks. Fourteen cookbooks, fourteen recipes, and plenty of Ina-inspired cooking along the way.
🍷 Slow Sunday Supper Club — a little permission to slow down, cook something wonderful, set the table, pour the wine, and make an ordinary Sunday feel like something worth remembering. The recipes will all be available to print via Substack (Subscribe by clicking the link above)
🍏 Think of it as my fall semester in the curriculum of living well. No grades. No tests. Just good food, a little curiosity, wonderful recipes, and plenty of reasons to linger around the table.
🍎 And really, no homework… unless you count making dinner. 😉
🍏 Be sure to add me to your Favorites so you don’t miss the details, dates, recipes, and everything coming this fall.
Class is officially in session. 🍂📚🥂
With grace, grit & gratitude,
xx, JeriLynne

There’s something really special about gathering people around the table 🤍
Cookbook club has become one of my favorite ways to do that, a night built around thoughtful recipes, meaningful details, and the kind of atmosphere that invites people to slow down and stay awhile.
Over the years, I’ve found a rhythm that makes it feel less like a dinner party…and more like an experience.
Every dish has a story.
Every guest has a moment.
And every recipe becomes one you carry with you long after the night ends.
This evening was inspired by @shea_mcgee new cookbook—
filled with recipes that feel elevated, yet completely approachable for gathering at home.
The kind you don’t just make once…
the kind that become part of your home, your traditions, your everyday rhythms.
Grateful to create a space that feels both beautiful and lived-in—the way gathering around the table was always meant to be ✨

HOW TO START A COOKBOOK CLUB 🍋 send this to who you wanna have a cookbook party with 🌿
Each month, one person hosts and chooses the cookbook. This month we did @mollybaz
The host sends out a list of appetizers, entrées, and desserts from the cookbook. We also love a theme (I did coastal white for the first party and this party was summer vibes)
Everyone chooses a recipe to make and brings their dish to the gathering. It’s so fun to try everything in the cookbook. Then you go around the table and discuss what you brought, and everyone talks about their favorites.
It’s such a fun way to get together with new friends and old friends.
Thank you to the best host @kayla_colapinto and planner @hailleyhammer for this months cookbook club

My horrible experience at a Houston braiding salon got 6 million views and my hair is still not done - but let’s get back to the positivity 💕
Cookbook club has been one of the highlights of my month.
