Co-parenting isn’t only about whose week it is. Sometimes it’s noticing what the other parent is carrying and quietly taking a few things off their list. A little extra thought can make someone’s whole evening easier. #Coparenting #Parenting #MentalLoad #Fatherhood #fyp
Hope this helps🤗🫂 #walkandtalk #coparenting
My boys were only 4 and 8 at the time. We had recently gotten divorced, and it was their dad’s weekend. A few hours after he picked them up, I got a phone call from his sister. She was crying. “You need to come get the kids.” She was visiting from out of state, and they had been talking about our divorce. She told him she was sad that our marriage had ended because she and I had been very close. She told him she wished he had tried harder. He became angry. She told me he was screaming and throwing my medical textbooks from the upper loft down the stairs. My boys were crying. She was scared. And she didn’t think he was in the right state of mind to care for them. I didn’t stop to think: “But it’s his weekend.” I dropped everything, got in my car and rushed over. When I arrived, the yelling and throwing continued. He blamed me for ruining everything and even attempted to throw the books toward me. I picked up my terrified 4-year-old, held him in my arms and said: “Let’s go home.” But then something happened that I’ve never forgotten. My 8-year-old said he wanted to stay. Not because he wasn’t scared. He didn’t want to hurt his father’s feelings. He was 8 years old. In the middle of an adult situation. Scared himself, yet already worried about protecting the feelings of a parent. That stayed with me. Children should never have to manage a parent’s emotions while they’re trying to manage their own fear. I believe in respecting the other parent’s parenting time. I believe children deserve a relationship with both parents when that relationship is safe. But a custody schedule does not come before a child’s safety. If I genuinely believe my child may be unsafe, I’m not thinking about whose weekend it is. I’m thinking about my child. Because parents should be parents so children can be children. 🤍 Follow for more emotionally mature parenting, co-parenting, and raising emotionally healthy children. Remember to be kind to yourself. I’m sending you love and peace. 🤍 #CoParenting #MatureParenting #Parenting #EmotionallyHealthyChildren #DivorceRecovery

Also bin ich mitgekommen. Und aus einer gescheiterten Übergabe wurde ein gemeinsamer Tag im Wald. Nicht für uns, aber unseren Jungen! Was hättest du gemacht? Ich bin übrigens Vanessa, Mama eines 2,5 Jahre alten Sohnes zwischen den Ups & Downs der Wechseltage und dem Versuch, mich wieder neu auszurichten. Positiv und optimistisch, trotz diverser Herausforderungen! Wenn du dich wiederfindest, freue ich mich, wenn du bleibst! #getrennterziehend #coparenting #trennungmitkind #singlemama #mindset coparenting getrennterziehend mindset trennungmitkind mamaleben

Wouldn’t wish 50/50 on my worst enemy. Obviously we both deserve holidays with them, but it doesn’t make it any easier. #coparenting #custody #coparentingstruggles #fourthofjuly #sharedcustody
Sometimes the hardest situations in blended families aren’t the big ones—they’re the everyday decisions. Imagine a child comes to Dad’s house for the weekend with the clothes that were packed. The weather changes, the clothes don’t fit the plans, or they simply aren’t appropriate for what’s ahead. The stepmom notices, goes to the store, and buys what the child needs. No announcement. No competition. No hidden agenda. Just a decision to meet a need. So… did she overstep? Or is this simply what caring adults do when a child is in their home? I’d love to hear from bio moms, stepmoms, dads, and adults who grew up in blended families. Let’s keep it respectful and focus on the decision..not assumptions about anyone’s intentions. 👇🏾What would you do? #stepmom #blendedfamily #coparenting
It’s just easier this way 🙃😂😂😂 #coparenting #coparent #parenting
😂 Baby daddy walked straight in without knocking because “my daughter lives here.” 👀 Does having a child there mean he can still walk in, or does he need to KNOCK? 😭🏠 #TheGroupChat #BabyDaddyDrama #Coparenting
Feeling so much freedom in sharing this part of my life. Single parenting is full of LONELY battles, and I’m so grateful for the connections I’ve already made on here. I’m absolutely going to still be focused on fitness, but there’s so much more that my life entails, and I want to be real. #Singleparenthood #singlemom #coparenting #fyp #momof2
