📍 Corpach Wreck 🚙 Located on Caol Beach, with Ben Nevis overlooking it. There is a couple of car parks nearby, which are just a short walk down to the wreck. 🥾 Beautiful walk along the shore, with not only the shipwreck to explore, but being overlooked by the majestic (and tallest) peak in the United Kingdom. 🤤 Some lovely coffee spots nearby, we would recommend: Cabin food stop Kilted camel The fort coffee collective Nevis cafe Wildcat Aroma cafe 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 A former fishing boat that sits, unmoved, at an odd angle on the shore of Loch Linnhe, residents of the town of Caol near Fort William discovered this odd wreck in 2011. Whilst local lore suggests it emerged from stormy waters to take in the majesty of nearby Ben Nevis, no one has ever fully understood why the boat – built in 1975 - emerged from the water and onto the shore. Corpach Shipwreck ⚓️⁣ ⁣ One of Scotland’s best sights lies just outside of Fort William. ⁣🛥️ ⁣ Located in Corpach, the Corpach Shipwreck, is also known as the Old Boat of Caol.⁣ ⁣⁣ Built in 1975, she was an old fishing vessel that was moored at Kinlochleven Pier in 2001. Unfortunately in 2011, a heavy storm caused a chain to fail and she ran aground and has been there ever since.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ DIRECTIONS ⁣🗺️ ⁣ To get to the Corpach Shipwreck, you will want to park at the Corpach train station. Cross over one of the footbridges so that you are on the beachside of the canal and not the car park side.
