FROM THE HALLS OF MONTEZUMA TO THE CAMP SCHWAB AUDITORIUM Have you ever wondered what a Hall (or auditorium) of hundreds of Marines sounds like singing our Hymn? For the past week, the @usmc_commandant and I have had the honor to meet with Marines and Sailors throughout the Pacific. Following a Town Hall at Camp Schwab, the Commandant and I were filled with motivation after this rendition of our Hymn.

This movie from 1919 Centennial always hits me seeing some famous NU leaders and professor...think Plumley, Tompkins, and Roberts. It is powerful to see them in the flesh versus a painting. Well, back to academics! Yours for Old NU, Wicked Cadet

Howdy! Titan fish have been learning what it means to be united as a buddy class. Need some motivation or inspiration? Check out SPC Spear's Army Story below! Also feel free to follow her story, her IG is tagged in the post! I’m SPC Catherine Spear. Growing up as an Army brat, I always knew that someday I would have the privilege to serve in the United States Army, but getting there was a challenge. I found myself researching ROTC programs for college and I landed on the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. I graduated without a commission in December of 2022 and proceeded to go to Nursing School at Old Dominion University. While I was there, I played rugby and my teammates were from all service branches. They were the ones who encouraged me to follow my dream; however, the only issue at the time was my weight. I decided I was not going to let that get in the way of what I am passionate about and in May of 2023 I made the decision to dedicate all my energy to fitness and nutrition. I reached out to my friend who is a recruiter in August to let him know of my decision and I found myself signing my contract in October. I went to Basic Training at Fort Jackson and completed AIT at Fort Leonard Wood. I was recognized as the Iron Soldier of the Company, an award for top physical fitness, where I scored a 599/600 on the ACFT. Currently, I am on my way to Airborne School at Fort Moore, GA! Getting to this point has been an amazing experience and challenge. A year ago, I weighed over 300lbs and now I’m helping others achieve their dreams to serve. #Army #Armystory #Armycareer #fitnessgoals #motivation #inspiration #fitnessmotivation #reeloftheday #Airborne #newchapter #BeAllYouCanBe
