Have I finished back to back maomao cosplays a week apart? Yes 🙂↕️. Admittedly with this cosplay I only made the shirt as the skirt was purposefully designed to be used across maomao’s garden party look and her regular outfit when I initially made my cosplay of the garden party outfit. I can’t wait to take some photos of this new cosplay on Friday and I promise to take a break from the maomao cosplays and make something different next before making any more maomao’s

Some ways you can use hot glue in your cosplay projects! Have you tried these methods or have others to share? This is a no gatekeeping zone!
I'm using cosplay hot glue from @bearlyarts ! While not a direct replacement for contact cement, it certainly has it's uses. It is heat resistant and has quite a strong hold on materials like foam.
Of course like any other material hot glue has its pros and cons. But it's always nice to have options. Though not as durable as say resin, in a pinch it can be a budget friendly or non toxic alternative although you should still wear protection to be safe 👌

I don't know why I didn't have any footage of actually making the shapes with the hot glue but you can just make the shapes intuitively. You can also use silicone molds if you have them for specific shapes. This little brooch really tied my whole Lebanne cosplay together ✨
