Walking the Cotswold Way?? 🐑🌷 MAGICAL. Exceeded every expectation. We walked it in 7 days.. which was challenging for me. With detours we walked anywhere from 15-20 miles each day & ended the trip closer to 120 miles total. It wasn’t necessarily a difficult trail, just quite hilly on some days! I didn’t train but ooof I SHOULD HAVE. The great thing about this trip though is you can space it out as much as you’d like to suit your fitness level. 🤎 Some people prefer to take up to 12 days so the mileage is lower per day, some do it in 6. It’s totally up to you & there’s so many different itineraries and agencies that you can go through!! We went with Macs Adventure and highly recommend!! If planning for a trip like this seems daunting.. just know we planned basically nothing. We booked through a travel agency, got our flights, and just showed up. Aaaand It was one of the best adventures we’ve ever had together 🥲 PS- thank you to @heleneinbetween for influencing us to book this trip.. she’s got great information on this trail as well on her page!
Here’s how!!!! 🥾This ruined me to be honest. The Cotswold Way in England is one of the best experiences of my life! No camping and no hauling your luggage. And amazing meals! I loved it so much I did another walk (Stevenson’s trail in France) and now… I’m doing another! Here’s what really changed my life: Long-distance walking gave me a passion I never knew I had. I became stronger mentally and physically. And yes, I do this completely solo. 12 years ago on the exact day I finished, I was in a wheelchair wondering what my future held. Last year I walked over 100 miles through fairy tale villages and ended at Bath Abbey feeling like I could conquer the world. Your transformation doesn’t have to be 100 miles. It just has to begin. ‼️Comment “INFO” for my training plan and guide! 👉 Follow @heleneinbetween for more epic walks! #cotswolds #cotswoldway #thecotswolds #sheisnotlost #thruhike

Day 1 of running the length of the Cotswold Way. This is already turning out to be one of the most wholesome quests I have ever embarked on, with endless fields and fuzzy cows and sweet blackberries to fuel me on. And yet, I can already tell that this is also going to be one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever done. Running far with a heavy pack is hard, and doing it for 5 days in a row is going to be a huge challenge. But I’m not doing this for speed or records. I’m doing it to relish in my own existence. And for that, I welcome the challenge. Follow along for part 2 coming tomorrow! #cotswoldway #fastpacking #trailrunning #wholesomeadventure #adventuregirl
We made it 🥹 102 miles later, we finished the Cotswold Way ❤️ . Thank you all for coming on this journey with us (again)! It’s been wonderful to reshare these videos after 3 years. We CAN’T WAIT to bring you along for our next adventure. And it may be sooner than you think 😉 . #cotswoldway #england #cotswolds #hiking
Day 3 of my journey through the Cotswold Way. What’s interesting about today is that although the fatigue is still there, I’m mentally more prepared for it than I was yesterday so the day is feeling a little easier. And gosh, the scenery today is beautiful. So many green woods that feel like there could be fairies hiding within them. Nice to take a little break from the fields today and disappear amongst the dappled light and rustling leaves. Follow for part 2 as I head towards to top of Cleave Hill to finish the day! #cotswoldway #girlswhoruntrails #trailrunner #adventuregirl

🥉 3rd Place – Kirt Freeland After joining us for an 11 night Cotswold Way tour, Kirt and his sister created a video that perfectly sums up the walking experience. "This is our trip in a nutshell — we loved every minute and couldn’t stop laughing." We chose this entry for its joy, honesty and sense of connection. It is a wonderful reminder that some of the best moments on the trail are the ones you never plan. Congratulations, Kirt, on a well deserved third place. #CotswoldWalks #CotswoldWayNationalTrail #WalkingTheCotswolds #WalkingHolidayUK #AdventureTogether #TrailMoments #SlowAdventure #BritishCountryside
Cotswold Way had its wicked way with me. 53km up and down, both geographically, physically and mentally 😂 Hella underprepared for the elevation, but what a day it was. I knew going into this one it was going to be a tough one and it didn’t disappoint. Serious type 2 fun sort of day. Roll on the Thames Path in September. I can’t recommend @ultrachallenges enough. Take the leap, get involved & grab yourself 10% off your entry with code BAGFORLIFE. You won’t regret it #pushyourselffurther
Thinking of walking the Cotswold Way? 🥾 Save this before you go. There are a few things I wish I’d known before setting off… 📍 You don’t have to walk all 102 miles. The trail stretches from Chipping Campden to Bath, but most people tackle it in sections. ⛰️ It’s hillier than it looks. Those Cotswold views come with some pretty steep climbs, especially along the escarpment. 🥾 Wear proper walking shoes. Some paths can get muddy and uneven, even in summer. 💧 Pack more water and snacks than you think you’ll need. There are long stretches with very few cafés, pubs or shops. 📱 Download your route before you leave. Mobile signal can be patchy in places, so don’t rely on Google Maps. 🌦️ Expect four seasons in one day. Even if the forecast looks good, pack a waterproof layer. 🌰 Follow the little acorn waymarkers—they’re the official signs for the Cotswold Way and make navigating much easier. 🍂 Spring and autumn are my favourite times to walk it: quieter paths, cooler temperatures and some of the best views of the year. Whether you do 5 miles or the full trail, it’s one of the best ways to experience the Cotswolds beyond the honey-stone villages. Would you ever walk the Cotswold Way? 📌 Save this for your next Cotswolds adventure and send it to your favourite walking buddy. #CotswoldWay #Cotswolds #WalkTheCotswolds #CotswoldsUK #VisitCotswolds Cotswold Way, walking the Cotswold Way, Cotswolds walks, Cotswolds hiking, best walks in the Cotswolds, Cotswolds walking trail, Cotswolds travel guide, things to do in the Cotswolds, Cotswolds itinerary, Cotswolds day trips, Cotswolds viewpoints, Broadway Tower walk, Cleeve Hill, Chipping Campden, Bath, UK hiking, England walking holidays, national trails UK, countryside walks, Cotswolds bucket list.
I NEED YOUR HELP!!! I didn’t start walking to change my life but it definitely did. Now I need your help. Which walk should I do? Whatever you do, do not say the Camino.
Here’s what I’m thinking and I would truly LOVE your feedback: - South Downs Way - 100 miles rolling hills (similar in difficulty & elevation to Cotswold way but more coastal) - Coast To Coast - 192 miles - starts in Lake District ends in York, much harder than The Cotswold Way or Stevenson’s, more rugged and harder but epic scenery (most beautiful) - Hadrian’s Wall - 84 miles, steady hills, easier than Cotswold Way physically, pretty scenery and Roman ruins - West Highland Way - 96 miles, more wild and rugged Scottish highlands, more challenging but not crazy I want to know… what do you think? 🚶‍♀️Lots of questions on why I won’t walk the Camino - I am truly so happy it speaks to so many of you and that you did it and love it. I just don’t think it’s for me. That’s it! #walk #longdistancewalk #walking #hiking
