If you run a craft business, you’ll know that some months are amazing… and some are not so much!
That’s one of the reasons I always had side hustles alongside my vinyl decal business.
One of my favourites is print on demand, especially if you already have design skills and know what your customers like to buy.
I love Printify because you can start for free, they have a huge range of products and suppliers around the world, and you can either create a completely new shop or add products alongside your existing business.
It can be a really simple way to create an extra income stream for those quieter months without having to make and store everything yourself.

Started with a simple idea and a love for creating. ✨
Now every day looks a little different. Brainstorming new products, styling setups, filming reels, and turning tiny ideas into something people genuinely love.
Running a craft business isn’t always easy, but getting to create for a living? That’s pretty special. 💖
What’s one dream you’re currently building?

There was a time when I walked into a TSP event as a school teacher with a dream, a craft business, and a notebook full of goals.
Today, I’m honored to receive this Seven-Figure Award from @trafficsalesandprofit 💗🏆
This award represents every late night, every craft created, every lesson learned, and every moment I chose to keep going when quitting would have been easier.
I’m grateful for the rooms, the relationships, and the reminder that crafting can truly change your life.
Teacher ➝ Seven-Figure Crafter ➝ Still just getting started.💰
Starting a craft business isn’t always as easy as it looks online.
Behind the scenes there’s:
• Self doubt
• Learning pricing
• Figuring out what sells
• Building confidence to show up
But once you push through those hurdles, crafting can become something truly powerful.
If you’re starting your craft business journey, keep going. Your breakthrough might be closer than you think.

I mean I think it’s a good reason to be anti social 🤣🤣
Ever since I started my craft business it’s all I kinda wanna do. I just freaking love creating my spooky whimsy decor pieces.
Can’t help it! At least I get to say I truly love what I do!
So no sorry, I’m busy!

I get this question a lot.
“What do I actually need to start a craft business?”
“How do I avoid wasting money on tools and materials?”
And honestly, it’s a valid concern.
Because the fastest way to get discouraged in this business is to start by buying the wrong things.
A lot of people go in blindly and end up with:
• Tools they don’t really need
• Materials that don’t fit their niche
• Machines that don’t align with their goals
Not because they can’t succeed.
But because no one guided them properly from the beginning.
Starting a craft business isn’t just about buying equipment.
It’s about understanding what works for the kind of business you want to build.
That’s where I come in.
I help you make the right decisions from the start,
what to buy, what to skip, and how to set yourself up to actually make money from it.
If you’re thinking of starting (or you’ve already started but feel unsure),
you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Send a DM with “START” to book a consultation or mentorship.

If I had to start my craft business again in 2026, I would:
• Price my products correctly from day 1
• Not ignore packaging & shipping costs
• Focus on one niche instead of doing everything
• Build an audience before expecting sales
• Take advance orders instead of last-minute pressure
• Set clear timelines and boundaries with clients
• Document my work consistently (content matters!)
• Plan for bulk orders in advance
• Not undervalue my time and effort
• Treat it like a business, not just a hobby
What would you do differently if you started again? 💭
Learning how to let go of control. The hardest part of running a craft business and doing everything by yourself
is learning how to let go of control.
When you’ve had to carry every part of a handmade business - designing, assembling, labeling, packing orders — control starts to feel like safety.
Not because you want it, but because you needed it to keep things moving.
Putting in the work doesn’t disappear when help is involved.
Help doesn’t mean less effort - it means protecting your process, your quality, and your standards in small-batch production.
Sometimes it’s someone doing the product assembly or labeling.
Sometimes it’s support in other ways so orders go out correctly and the behind-the-scenes work stays consistent.
Teaching someone your process and watching them do it right in your creative business - that’s a beautiful thing.
That isn’t weakness.
That’s growth.
