Most Canva graphics don't look DIY because of Canva. They look DIY because there's no design system behind them. Designers rely on structure: • typography hierarchy • spacing consistency • repeatable layouts Without those, even good ideas look unpolished. I created a free Founder Set to help female-led brands build a more cohesive visual system. Comment FOUNDER and I'll send the link. #CanvaTemplates #CanvaDesign #SocialMediaTemplates #CanvaTips #InstagramDesign #SocialMediaDesign #CanvaCreator #ContentCreatorTools #BrandingForEntrepreneurs #CanvaForBusiness #FounderSetTemplates
Quick confession: My Canva isn’t minimal. I have multiple color shades, lots of templates, and an entire “Brand Vault” folder full of graphics. But here’s the difference: I’m not re-deciding every time I design. My fonts are chosen. My palette is set. My go-to templates are pinned. So creating content is fast. If Canva feels overwhelming for you right now, the issue usually isn’t skill. It’s decision overload. The Brand Era Quiz will help you figure out what actually belongs in your brand right now, and what you can stop overthinking. You can find that link in my bio or just comment ‘QUIZ’ and I’ll send it straight to your DMs!
The sound I hear when a business owner thinks Canva is a brand strategy🙃⬇️ Listen, I’m not anti-Canva. I use it. My clients use it. It’s a tool. But when someone tells me their entire brand strategy is a few templates, two nice fonts, and a colour palette they found on Pinterest… I already know why their “premium” clients aren’t converting🫠🫠 Because branding was never about making posts look good. 👉🏼You can have the prettiest Instagram feed in your niche and still attract bargain hunters. 👉🏼You can have cohesive graphics and still feel like people don’t fully get what you do. 👉🏼You can even be insanely talented and still look mid-level if your positioning isn’t clear. That’s the frustrating part. Most business owners think if it looks polished, it must be strategic. So they keep tweaking graphics instead of asking bigger questions like: 👉🏼What do I want to be known for? 👉🏼Who am I actually trying to attract? 👉🏼Does my brand reflect the level I want to be paid at? Templates can’t answer that. Strategy does. Branding is how you’re perceived before you speak. It’s the difference between someone asking for your prices… and someone asking how to pay. If you’re building a serious business, your brand has to do more than look cute on Canva. If this hit a nerve in the best way, follow me @sarahonbranding I talk about branding in a way most designers are too polite to.
Here is the step by step guide.⬇️ This is the Content creation hack I swear by! I had to share this with you because so many have asked how do I add my @Canva brand kit to my templates. First things first.. Step 1 — Open your template in Canva Pro and click on any text or design element Step 2 — Head to your Brand Kit on the left side panel — all your brand colors, fonts and logos are already saved there Step 3 — Click your brand colors and they apply to the ENTIRE template at once — no more manually changing every single element 🙌🏾 Step 4 — Swap your fonts with one click — headers, body text, all of it updated instantly Step 5 — Add your logo by dragging it straight from your Brand Kit onto the template — resize and position and you’re done That’s it. Branded. Consistent. Done in under 2 minutes. 😭 This is exactly why I tell my clients….stop starting from scratch every time. Build your brand kit ONCE and let it do the work for you. Save this for the next time you’re redesigning your content. 🔖 #canvapro #brandkit #contentcreationhack #servicebusinessowner
🎨 A quick Canva tip for small businesses If your proposals, slides and graphics all look slightly different…you probably don’t have a brand kit set up yet. A simple Canva brand kit keeps: • colours • fonts • logos all in one place so everything stays consistent. It’s one of the quickest ways to make your work look polished without spending hours designing. I’ve written a short guide on creating a simple brand kit and templates. I didn’t know what I didn’t know. And if I’m being honest… my old Canva templates? Oof. They were rough. Like… borderline elementary school project energy 😅 👉🏻 Comment PLAN to get your Canva SOS support. But that’s what happens when you’re building as you go. You’re guessing. Piecing things together. Starting from scratch every single time. And it feels way harder than it needs to. Now? I can open Canva, pull up my brand kit, drop into a few templates and have 5 solid posts done in 15 minutes. Not because I’m more creative. But because I finally have structure. That’s the shift. Your content doesn’t need more effort. It needs a system behind it. Inside my VIP Days, this is one of the first things we clean up. Your brand kit. Your templates. Your starting point. So you’re not reinventing the wheel every time you sit down to create. Because your business should feel supported…not like a Canva scavenger hunt. If your content still feels messy behind the scenes, comment PLAN and I’ll help you get it organized. If you want them: Comment “BUNDLE” and I’ll send the link. Save this for later so you always have content ideas when you’re stuck. #canva #canvahacks #canvatips #graphicdesign #digitalproducts
You didn’t start your business ↓ to become the design department But somehow you’re the one making the graphics...creating the carousels...scrolling through Canva and trying to keep your brand elevated, scroll-stopping, and consistent. Not because you love doing it. But because SOMEONE has to. And the hidden cost of that DIY loop isn’t the tools you’re using. It’s not the Canva subscription. It’s the time, energy, and creative capacity it quietly pulls away from the work that actually grows your business. At some point, the real shift isn’t learning more design tools. It’s giving yourself the support that lets you stay in your lane — and letting someone else handle the visual side of the brand. If you’re ready to finally get 1/2 of your week back, comment BATCH and I’ll pop into your DMs to chat about what you have going on + how you can move forward.
Creating a consistent, recognizable brand doesn’t require expensive software with @canva !!!!
Branding is one of the biggest things that helps people recognise and remember you online. But a lot of new businesses think they need to spend thousands upfront on a designer before they can even start posting… which simply isn’t true. There are SOOO many high quality free templates on Canva that can help you build a clean, consistent brand while you’re still growing. If you’re starting from scratch, here’s a simple way to approach your branding: 1️⃣ Start with your vibe Think about how you want your brand to feel. Minimal? Playful? Premium? Bold? Your colours, fonts and imagery should all reflect that feeling. 2️⃣ Choose 3–4 core colours Pick a primary colour, a secondary colour, and 1–2 neutrals. This keeps your feed consistent without feeling repetitive. 3️⃣ Select 2 fonts max One headline font and one simple font for body text. Too many fonts can make your content look messy and unprofessional. 4️⃣ Find templates that match your style Search Canva for templates that already fit your brand vibe. This makes creating content faster and keeps everything cohesive. 5️⃣ Stay consistent Use the same colours, fonts and layout styles across your posts so people instantly recognise your content in their feed. You don’t need a huge budget to start building a recognisable brand, you just need consistency and a clear direction. Save this for when you’re setting up your brand or refreshing your content!!! #businessbranding #canvatemplates #buildingmydreamlife #contentcreator
