Cozy hobbies I’m trying this October 🍂☕️🎨
I’m leaning into slower days, creative hobbies, and all things cozy this month. From puzzle books and getting back into crafts to reading, gaming, and finding new ways to spend less time scrolling and more time creating 🤎
If you’re looking for cozy hobbies to try this fall, consider this your sign to pick up something new! 🍁
What cozy hobby should I try next? 👀

we don’t all only need to have creative hobbies, but prioritize them the same way we prioritize internships, hard skill-building, schooling, etc.
In my personal experience, my creative pursuits, that I completed individually and outside of school, led way to more opportunities than EVER presented to me through linkedin or the like.
your hobbies, your passions, and your random desires to pursue something that drives curiosity are NEVER a waste! #student #internship #summer #highschool #college
Creative hobbies are cool again!
More and more women, especially the busy ones, the moms, the founders, the ones running their own thing with zero spare hours, are going to put the phone down when they are bored. And pick up something creative instead.
Not because we suddenly have more time. Because we are tired of handing our downtime to an app.
Creative hobbies are about to be everywhere again. Not as a hustle, not as a side project. As self care that actually feels like ours.
I think it is already starting. I see it in this community every week.
If you want in on where this is heading, comment CIRCLE below and I will send you the link and all the details for the waitlist.

There's something about creative hobbies that nobody really talks about. And I think it's the whole point.
It's not the thing you make at the end.
It's the hour where you're not needed by anyone. Where your brain has one job - this mark, this line.
Where you prove to yourself, quietly, that you can still make something.
For a lot of the women I work with, that hour is what makes the rest of the week feel manageable.
Creative practice isn't a luxury. It's maintenance.
Save this if it resonated 🖊️

If you've ever felt a mismatch between how relaxing you *wish* your creative time was and how it actually turns out...you are not alone 🫠
Sometimes our stresses and anxieties have a way of infiltrating our creative hobbies and taking away their power to soothe and refresh us (which is why we started them in the first place). It's a paradox!
So here are 5 ways I make sure my relaxing creative hobbies STAY relaxing and do their job for my mental health:
1️⃣ Have several outlets to choose from. Different days and moods call for very different modes of creative relaxation. Even if you only have one creative hobby, have a handful of different projects going that you can choose from on any given day.
2️⃣ Abandon projects you're not enjoying. If you're like me, you can feel compelled to finish something just because you started it 😬 But sometimes this means starting to "push through" something you're supposed to be enjoying. This is silly. Just put it down. The world won't end — allow yourself to pick up something that brings you joy instead.
3️⃣ Forget about rules. They aren't real in the arts and crafts world! We impose them on ourselves, and they don't do us any favors when we stress about sticking to them. Use your tools unconventionally, don't wash that finished project if you don't want to, use the "wrong" technique if it makes things easier. Just have fun.
4️⃣ Focus on process over outcomes. Sometimes you'll love what you make and sometimes you won't. That's part of creating. If you're getting the mental health boost you seek out of the *process*, then the whole thing is a success.
5️⃣ Don't post everything on social media. When you start creating with the purpose of sharing and being received in a certain way, those relaxing vibes you're seeking disappear. Just make for the sake of making, and if you feel inspired to share at the end then snap a pic and post it.
Which one of these do you need to work on the most? Tell me in the comments!
