Getting better in Crossfit 🚀 To get better in Crossfit you can’t only do Crossfit. You need to have times during the year when you decrease the amount of crossfit training and do more strength + conditioning. 1. Getting stronger will make all the movements easier & the lactic will not come as fast. 2. To improve your conditioning you need to do it by running/biking/rowing/etc, NOT with Crossfit movements or workouts. You need to train you aerobic + anaerobic base. Long slow distance + intervals. 3. During the conditioning & strength cycles you still need to do Crossfit but only for maintenance. 4. If you compete in Crossfit you need to do a tapering for your competition to perform at your best. And here is where you train much more Crossfit and squeeze the off season train to push your Crossfit to the next level! If you don’t compete then you still do the same but just not competing. 5. By doning it like this you will prevent injuries + get better year after year. This is your sign to start where you are. The rest comes with time. 🫡 Most of these started with me not knowing if I could do them yet. You try, miss reps, fix things, keep showing up, and eventually the stuff that once felt out of reach becomes part of your normal. Clips from building to a moderate-heavy 4-3-2-1 barbell complex, up to 100 lb: 4 deadlifts 3 power cleans 2 front squats 1 push jerk No putting the bar down until the full complex is complete. #strengthtraining #womenwholift #functionalfitness #momathlete #barbelltraining strength training, women who lift, barbell complex, 4-3-2-1 complex, power cleans, front squats, push jerk, deadlifts, functional fitness, lifting progress, CrossFit training

Scaling, done right, is one of the most deliberate and powerful tools in CrossFit training. 🤓 - Many CrossFit athletes treat scaling like a necessary inconvenience. It’s something to get through until they’re “good enough” to do the real workout. But that mindset is exactly what keeps people stuck. The problem isn’t the scale itself. It’s the absence of a plan to ever change it. 💥 - When you finish a workout, make a note not just of what you did, but of how it felt. Did you hold on better than expected? Could you push the load next time? Did you have to break up the last round more than planned? That information is the roadmap for your next scaling decision. 📍🗺️ - Want to learn more? 🔥 90 unbroken T2B 🔥 The goal was 100, but this is still 20 reps more than I’ve ever done, and I’m pleasantly surprised 😮 in 2019 my max was only about 65 I’m putting out a T2B challenge for anyone who wants to give it a shot. Go for a max set, whether it’s big or small, post it, tag me, and I’ll provide you with some tips for improving your T2B 🤘 A couple of things I guarantee have made a big difference, especially since I’m now only doing CrossFit training around 3-4 times per week for an hour: 1. @frog_grips ✅ 2. @rawiron_crossfit programming ✅ 3. The 5:30am class crew egging me on to always give it my all ✅ 4. Enjoying what I do daily ✅ 5. @phybaperformance yeet perfect 😏 #phyba #phybaperformance
CrossFit training for HYROX? 👀 Enjoyment is a huge part of training. If you enjoy what you’re doing, you’re far more likely to stay consistent. I love CrossFit-style training. The explosive movements, heavy lifts and short, intense workouts are great fun. But to perform at your best in any sport, your training needs to be specific. For HYROX, adding too much CrossFit when you could be developing your running, strength endurance and HYROX stations isn’t something I do often. However, sometimes you just need that CrossFit fix - I know I do! When I include it, I’ll add it to a quality training day so it doesn’t disrupt an easy or recovery day. Enjoy your training, but don’t lose sight of what you’re training for. #hyrox #crossfit #hyroxtraining #hybridtraining #functionalfitness
