Want to know what keeps a custom builder up at night? It’s this stage. 😅 Foundation work looks simple. Dig a hole. Pour concrete. Done. It is not simple. A few things that can go wrong right now: → Layout off = everything stacked on top is off → Wall heights wrong = your 11-foot basement ceiling is suddenly 9 feet → Window rough openings wrong = forming walls without final specs → Missed door location = cutting a doorway out of a poured wall (done it once, never again) → Weather = half the year in Colorado we’re fighting frost The job at this stage isn’t pouring. It’s asking the right questions before the truck shows up. Because once it’s poured, it’s poured. 🔨
