“I didn’t vote for this!” Miami Trump voter Wayne DeMario, owner of Wayne’s Guitar World in Cutler Bay, says his life partner Yamile Alcantu, also a Trump supporter, received a deportation order in 2008 after police found three Xanax pills in her purse during a traffic stop.
Then last June, during her routine annual ICE meeting in Miramar, she was shackled, chained and sent, first, to a detention center in Jacksonville, then moved to Louisiana — where she awaits deportation to Cuba.

🏗️ A new mixed-use village is coming to Homestead.
The Midtown Homestead (Soleste Midtown) development will transform 20 acres across from Baptist Homestead Hospital into a walkable residential and retail hub.
Project highlights:
🏢 354 market-rate apartments
🍽 43,000 sq ft of restaurants and retail
🚶 Walkable pedestrian promenade
🌴 Community amenities and shared spaces
Potential restaurants that have been mentioned include:
