The Year 8 girls had a fabulous day at the CyberFirst Empower Girls event held at the ICC Belfast! They loved getting hands-on with all the amazing demos and, of course, making the most of the free goodies. Huge congratulations to Eden for coming first in the interactive quiz and winning an Amazon Echo Dot. A big thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic event, which has truly inspired our girls to consider a future in IT.

Great day today at our new Cyber Challenge North West CTF, at South West College in Enniskillen. Over 30 schools teams took part in their first CTF run in partnership with CyberFirst NI. Huge thanks to Samuel, Anya and Finn for their efforts for the ZeroDays team, and to Eamonn and his team from CyberFirst NI. Massive thanks to all the schools, students and teachers who participated. Looking forward to the next one!

Reflecting on the CyberFirst South West Conference! 🌟 It’s been one week since the CyberFirst Conference where we welcomed an array of key stakeholders who are apart of the CyberFirst programme, including representatives from industry, schools, and the wider community. The event provided an opportunity to bridge the gap between industry and education, creating a platform for ideas to be shared and collaboration to thrive. We heard inspiring talks from both industry leaders and educational professionals, each showcasing the incredible activities and enrichment programs they are delivering to empower the next generation of cyber talent. It was a fantastic chance to shine a light on the impactful work being done and foster new relationships. A massive thank you to everyone who attended, spoke, and contributed to the conversations throughout the day! We hope everyone left with not only a page full of new ideas but also a contact list packed with potential future collaborations. We’re excited to continue creating opportunities for young minds to thrive in the world of cyber #cyberfirst
