Camp Cryptid Toy art show by @labmonkeynumber9 My entry: The Kludde Kludde is a Cryptid from Flemish folklore, often depicted as a tormentor who harasses unsuspecting travellers. In some regions, this plague is known as “Klodde,” “Klerre,” or “Lodder.” The Kludde is a shape shifter. In some tales, he is described as a monstrous black dog or bear that moves on its hind legs. He can also take the form of a large black cat or a gigantic black bird. Some describe him as a humanoid figure with red glowing, piercing eyes, sometimes dressed in dog or wolf pelts. Kludde is a nuisance who often lurks under bridges or in hollow trees and only emerges at night. Hikers can only detect his presence by the sound he makes. Kludde rattles a chain he is forced to wear. Kludde was an invincible creature. Once encountered, there was no escaping him. Kludde dwells in the region of the river Schelde, Dendermonde, and other villages in East Flanders, but stories also exist in the Antwerp area, such as Hemiksem and Schelle. The figures I have built, were inspired by the way Kludde is depicted in the epic Flemish animated movie “Jan Zonder Vrees”, a childhood favorite of mine. This is the 3rd version I have created of the character. 100% hand made (original hand sculpt, cast in resin, painted with acrylic paints) fully articulated in arms, ball joint legs, neck and waist. Comes with curved sword. One version is cast in solid black and painted, the other is cast in translucent green with a double cast head with integrated skull.
