There was way too much to discuss for March’s graphic novel book club, so we had a little after party to keep talking about Assorted Crisis Events. We handed out free copies of issue 8 to everyone who attended with one condition. They had to draw in the final page. After everyone finished reading the issue, they drew a picture of love in the blank panel at the end. It was very heartwarming to see everyone draw such genuine and sweet pictures after reading one of the heaviest books we’ve ever done for our book club. We honestly could have gushed for hours about every issue in volume 1 and we probably will as the days go on. Thank you to all the people who came out to the book club and to everyone who stayed for the after party. Huge thanks to @denizcampcomics and @ericxyzawadzki for putting such a powerful work of art together. We look forward to issue 9 and beyond! . . . #localcomicshop #assortedcrisisevents #imagecomics #graphicnovelbookclub #localcomicshop

If you're in Northern Arizona, come on out to the Verde Valley Comics Expo on Saturday March 28 from 10am-4pm in Cottonwood. The event supports the public library summer reading programs. Also, I'll have my comic book about the secret lives of crows, a bunch of cool zines and greeting cards and some of my prints for sale. It's gonna be a good time. #verdevalleycomicsexpo #thingstodoinverdevalley #supportpubliclibraries #zines #comics

Waco ISD’s Comic Fest and Cen Tex Teen Book Fest teamed up this year for an absolutely amazing event! 🎉✨ Students and community members had a blast hanging out with awesome authors, talented illustrators, and cool publishers—and they even picked up some fun knowledge in workshops! 📚🤓 It just goes to show how educational comics can be! A big shoutout to University High School teacher Matt Menefee and Librarian Kelly Cunningham for making this fantastic event happen! #WISDomWorksWonders
