Reposted from @pot_brothers_at_law 29 Words That Could Save You – New Update to The Script!
If you’ve followed us for the last 10 years, you already know The Script—the 25 words we’ve taught over and over to protect yourself during encounters. But now, it’s changed. We’ve added FOUR powerful new words that could be the difference between your freedom and self-incrimination. It’s now 29 words—and it’s better than ever.
Here’s the NEW and improved SCRIPT:
“Why’d you pull me over?”
“I’m not discussing my day.”
“Am I being detained or am I free to go?”
“I invoke the Fifth, I want my lawyer.”
“Shut the f* up.”**
That’s it. 29 words—delivered politely, confidently, and in order.
So why the change? Because invoking the Fifth alone isn’t enough anymore. If you don’t ask for a lawyer and they keep questioning you—and you crack—you just waived your rights. But if you clearly state “I want my lawyer,” they are legally required to stop all questioning. If they don’t, and you’re tricked into talking, your statements could be thrown out in court. That’s the power of those four new words.
This update isn’t just about being smart—it’s about being protected. Share this with everyone you know. Record it. Memorize it. Practice it. Because when it counts, those 29 words are your legal armor.
Stay safe. Stay silent. Stay protected.

We grow fast. And you’ll grow even faster, guided by 10 Hostinger principles! 🚀
What’s the secret to building a high-performing team? Our Chief Product and Technology Officer, Giedrius Zakaitis—a true advocate of the Hire and develop the best principle—reveals.
“We are searching for people who have greater capabilities than ourselves and are helping our teams scale and grow within the organization. The high-performing people have very high expectations of their colleagues, and that’s a self-reinforcing loop. If you have really great hires, they recommend and attract other top employees,” Giedrius explains the Bar Raiser process we are using.
Do you want to know all the details behind how we are building this high-performing team? You might find the answer in the latest principles video 👀

Why You Should Never Use Face ID or Fingerprint to Unlock Your Phone 🔒📱
With all the new tech out there—Face ID, thumbprint scanners, and ultra-fast unlocking—it’s easy to think you’re more secure. But when it comes to protecting yourself, especially during a stop, the old-school method is still the smartest: use a passcode.
Here’s why:—People vs. Payne—Payne, 99 F. 4th 495 (9th Cir. 2024). In Payne, the Ninth Circuit held that forcibly grabbing a defendant’s thumb and using it to unlock a phone was not testimonial and did not violate the defendant’s Fifth Amendment rights They can even hold your phone up to your face to unlock it. Once that phone is open, boom—they’re in your digital life.
You might think, “Well, I’ll just close my eyes or turn my phone off real quick.” But let’s be real—things move fast when you’re getting pulled over. You won’t always have the time to shut it down and trigger that passcode-only reset. And if your phone opens with Face ID or Touch ID? They’ve got access.
Now here’s the key part: they can’t force you to say your passcode. Why? The Fifth Amendment. They can’t make you say anything that’s self-incriminating. That includes giving up your passcode. If you stick with just a passcode, your attorney has a fighting chance to challenge any search. Use Face ID or fingerprint, and the door’s wide open—literally.
So forget the fancy features. Set your phone to unlock only with a passcode. Protect yourself!
Stay smart. Stay silent. And always invoke the Fifth.

What to Say When Pulled Over – Stick to the Script! 🚨
When the flashing lights come on and you’re pulled over, don’t panic. Keep it simple and stick to the script.
First thing you say: “Why did you pull me over?” That’s it. Nothing more.
If they start asking questions, no matter how casual they seem, respond with: “I’m not discussing my day.” You don’t need to explain anything—stay quiet and stay firm.
If they keep pushing for answers, you ask: “Am I being detained, or am I free to go?” This forces them to clarify your standing.
If they say you’re detained, immediately state: “I invoke the Fifth.” At this point, you stop talking completely.
And if they continue questioning you after invoking the Fifth? Ask for your lawyer. Legally, they must stop questioning you at that moment.
The key is not to engage, not to volunteer information, and to stay calm. The more you talk, the more they have to use against you. So once you’ve invoked the Fifth—shut up.
💡Pro Tip: Silence is your shield. Use it wisely.
