I wasn’t always an artist. In fact, I only started drawing and painting 2 years ago, when I was 37, after a brain tumor surgery that changed everything. I lost the ability to speak clearly, and my old life fell apart. Starting art wasn’t just a hobby. It became my way to cope, to express what I couldn’t say with words. Through art, I found a way to handle my feelings and tell my story. It’s not easy. It takes time, patience, and sometimes a lot of struggle. But it’s worth it. No matter how late you start, it’s never too late to create something meaningful. If you’re thinking about starting, or maybe you’ve waited too long, just know, your voice matters.
