Whatever you do - don’t make the mistake of following BAD Disney World advice. ✨ Here are a few of my top tips for beating the rain in Disney World.
☔️ Skip the Dollar Store Poncho. I prefer a lightweight rain jacket, ponchos from Amazon, they are made of a thicker material and fit better. Also, skip the Disney poncho if you want to save money, you can get 5 of the same quality ponchos from Amazon for the same price.
☔️ Keep Your Feet Dry. I am a firm believer in switching to a sandal with traction, I love the sandals and flip flops from Teva, but Crocs are another great option. Also, I pack them in my bag and only wear them when it’s raining.
☔️ Ride the rides during the Rain. If it’s just raining, a lot of rides will be open, and if you are in Animal Kingdom, do yourself a favor and jump on the safari.
☔️ Download a good weather app. My favorite is Dark Sky, and it will tell you down to the minute when the rain is predicted to start.
🌧All my favorite rain gear is linked in my bio. You can find my favorite rain jack, ponchos, and rain shoes - all of which I have tested in the parks and love!

👇 HERE are the trip-saving tips you need to know before you go:
1. Use Mobile Order (in the My Disney Experience app) for everything… meals, snacks, even a bottle of water. It will save you so much time waiting in line.
2. Buy a popcorn bucket at the beginning of your trip and get refills for $2.25. Even the maple popcorn at the Canada pavilion in Epcot!
3. The Main St USA section of Magic Kingdom actually opens to everyone (not just those with Early Entry privileges) an hour before the posted park opening time. You can get pictures, shop, grab breakfast from the bakery, and ride the Main St Vehicles (what this video is from).
4. As soon as you scan in for your first Lightning Lane of the day, you can pick another Tier 1 ride at any park. You can even modify existing LLs to Tier 1 to ride all of the best rides.
5. No dining reservations? Check dining availability in the MDE app and select “Join a Walk-Up List” (at the bottom of the screen). Even high-demand restaurants will often take walk-ups!
6. Just because a ride is sold out of Lightning Lane passes at the beginning of your park day doesn’t mean more won’t become available throughout the day. Refresh regularly or find the times more passes usually drop over at thrilldata.com.
7. PhotoPass photographers will take pictures for you with your own device! Just ask politely and limit it to one device per party.
8. When you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the day you get free ride photo downloads! This is a valuable perk that no one talks about.
9. The grace period for redeeming your Lightning Lane passes is 1 hour and 59 minutes after your initial one-hour window ends. The Mickey will still turn green and your pass will still work (don’t believe people who tell you otherwise LOL).
10. Arriving early is the key to not waiting in long lines. Waking up early sucks but waiting in line all day sucks more 😂 Choose your hard. Arrive at least a half hour before you can get on rides.

🏗️ Magic Kingdom is under construction right now — and if you’re not prepared, it can be chaos 😅
You’ll need a game plan to get around without losing your mind. Here are our top tips for navigating the construction maze:
🚂 Don’t rely on the train to skip crowds
It’s more like a point A to point B shuttle between Fantasyland and Main Street these days — not the crowds shortcut it used to be.
✨ Use the TRON path
The walkway by TRON is your secret weapon to get from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland faster (and with way less stroller traffic).
🗺️ Stick to the side paths
Avoid the main walkways when you can. MK still has sneaky little cut-throughs that help you skip the biggest congestion points.
🏰 Yes, you can walk through the castle — sometimes
It’s a solid shortcut during the day, but heads up: the paths usually close early to prep for fireworks, so don’t bank on it at night.
We’ve been navigating these reroutes daily — and yes, these shortcuts really help. 🎢✨
Comment “PLAN” and we’ll DM you our free planning worksheets so you can get a head start on prepping for your next trip!
Trust us, this Lightning Lane loophole is a MUST DO. ⚡️

Okay. I love both coasts.
But here are the things Disneyland truly does better 👇🏼
✨ 1. Character interactions
At Disneyland Park, characters just… walk around.
You’ll see them roaming, interacting casually, popping up in unexpected places. It feels spontaneous and personal in a way that’s harder to replicate in Florida.
With little kids? That magic hits differently.
✨ 2. Some of the duplicate rides are better
This might be controversial but…
• Pirates of the Caribbean is longer and has more scenes than the Florida version.
• It’s a Small World has the beautiful exterior façade and feels more classic.
If you’ve done both, you know.
✨ 3. The original, classic dark rides
Disneyland has a concentration of nostalgic Fantasyland rides you just don’t get in Disney World:
• Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
• Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
• Snow White’s Enchanted Wish
There’s something charming about all of these being right next to each other. It feels like stepping into opening-day Disney.
And of course…
• Matterhorn Bobsleds — an icon you won’t find in Florida.
✨ 4. Ride density
There are SO many attractions packed into 500 acres.
You’re not trekking across miles to get from one headliner to another. You can knock out multiple major rides in one section of the park without losing half your morning.
✨ 5. Navigation + coordination
This is huge for me as a mom of three littles.
Disney World = 25,000 acres.
Disneyland = 500 acres.
No internal buses.
No Skyliner logistics.
No boat schedules.
You can park hop in a 5-minute walk across the esplanade.
You can actually leave for naps and come back without it feeling like a production.
It’s efficient. It’s manageable. It’s realistic with toddlers.
Make your next theme park visit a walk in the park with these essentials! 🎒🎢

✨ NYE at Epcot with Kids! ✨
🎢 Our Best Tips & Tricks:
➡️ Rope Drop at Epcot’s Back Entrance
If Ratatouille is on your list, head there first! We waited only 15 minutes while the line later hit 4️⃣ HOURS! 🐭
🍽️ Fav Spot Alert: @space220fla
Dining in space? Yes, please! 🚀🌍 The elevator ride alone is worth it, and the views are out of this world! 🌌🍴
🎆 Fireworks Without the Midnight Crash
We loved Epcot’s 6:30 PM NYE show—perfect for celebrating without keeping the kiddos up too late! 🎇🎉
👟 Pro Tip: Lightning Lane Multiple Pass
With holiday crowds, this saved us so much time! ⏱️💨
It was busy, but the fun was ✨magical✨ as always! Stay tuned for videos from each park 🏰 and more Disney tips, especially for going during Christmas break! 🌟

Why do bubble wands and Disney just go hand in hand? 😅 pro tip though, buy those bubble wands off amazon before coming to save yourself $10-20 bucks (which you can then spend on more food 🤭).

My Favorite Spots at Walt Disney World with Picky Kids 👇🏻
If you Have Picky Eaters in your Family, then you know the Struggle 😳
❣️First My Favorite Tip for our Disney Trips, is order groceries to your Disney Resort.
✨That way you can bring in snacks, have breakfast in your room and even make PB&Js to bring into the Disney park.
✨We like to bring ziplocks from home, or order them with our groceries, to fill with ice from the resort for our small cooler.
🧊You cannot take loose ice into the park, but in a ziplock is ok.
At EPCOT ⬇️
✨Connection Eatery, the pizza slice is gigantic, really two slices! So your kids can easily split it.
✨La Cantina de San Angel
🥪Bring in a PB&J during EPCOT festivals when you want to try the Festival Booths. While the Festival Booths are amazing, they are not very kid friendly.
At Hollywood Studios⬇️
✨Backlot Express
✨Woody’s Lunchbox
✨ FairFax Fare, order a Mickey Waffle Platter in the morning.
At Magic Kingdom ⬇️
✨Skipper Canteen, you can often get a reservation close to your park day or easily get on the walk up wait list 👏🏻
✨Casey’s Corner
✨Columbia Harbour House
At Animal Kingdom⬇️
✨Satuli Canteen, the kids Quesidilla meal comes with two Quesidillas, chips and a cutie. Easily shareable.
✨Flame Tree Barbecue
At Disney Springs⬇️
✨Summer House on the Lake, has the largest kids menu I have ever seen and a cookie bar for after your meal. Since I’m not above bribery 😄
✨Polite Pig
📱Skip the lines at quick service locations and place a mobile order.
⭐️Comment “Food” and I will send you a DM with instructions on how to easily place a mobile order.
✔️Highly recommend checking the menus on the My Disney Experience app before your trip, so you have an idea of where you may want to eat.
