Don’t mind me I’m just over here obsessing over Katie and being so thankful for how amazing she is. 😭 There are so many highs and lows when it comes to dog breeding. The lows will really break your heart and make you want to throw in the towel. But the highs will remind you that when you work hard, trust your instinct, and don’t give up, you get to experience moments like these where everything falls into place. Everyone is happy, healthy, and joy is abundant. I love what I do. And I’m so grateful that Katie loves this too. ❤️ We’re a team. And I’m proud of us. 🥰 #boodlesstandardpoodles #boodlespoodles #standardpoodlepuppy #standardpoodle #standardpoodlepuppies

The Truth About Dog Breeding: Don’t Be Fooled by Fake Producers We talk about how a stud isn’t a real producer unless he consistently produces quality offspring, and how breeders often mislead by showing just a few good puppies from many litters. We emphasize the importance of inbreeding to double up desired traits, warn against judging dogs solely by looks, and advise letting puppies develop before assessing them. We also caution against paying high fees based on false claims, comparing it to expecting a superstar athlete to produce identical offspring. #DogBreeding #StudDog #BreederTruth #Inbreeding #PuppyDevelopment

For everyone that told me to post it on the grid, allow me to introduce you to Grace. A dog who used to be used for dog breeding and fighting in Atlanta and now has opinions on classical music composers and sits on a throne of shearling while telling me when I mess up playing her favorite pieces. 🙃 @nycscr . . . . . . . . . . . #staffy #pitbull #debussy #musicdog

Newest member of the family. Rescued from a dog breeding farm in South Carolina via @gimmeshelteranimalrescue. I wish everyone would consider adopting a dog, in my dream world animals would never be separated from their mothers, but since they are, I will forever give as many as I can a chance at a joyful, free and beautiful life. So many dogs need homes, please consider adopting instead of shopping, you can be a part of the solution too 💦💙 #adoptdontshop #animals #puppies #love

I’ve been keeping this quiet for months… and today I finally get to share it. ❤️🐾 I’ve been working with APGAW, Dr Dan O’Neill and PetProov on something that could genuinely change dog breeding in the UK the Innate Health Assessment. A simple 10-question check that helps make sure every dog can breathe, move and live comfortably… the way they’re meant to. This tool is evidence-led, aligned with UK law, and it’s about putting welfare first, finally giving breeders, buyers and councils a clear, consistent way to protect our dogs. And yes… I’ll be using it too. Bonnie and her future stud will both be assessed through the IHA, meeting every welfare requirement for responsible hobby breeding. Because good breeding starts with accountability and this is the start of real change. 💛🐶 @petproov

This is the Government’s chance to finally end cruel dog breeding practices. Puppy farm legislation must include strict caps, staffing ratios and real enforcement. Animal welfare cannot depend on weak regulation and under-resourced inspections.

Within weeks of the Government issuing its animal welfare strategy, the vast majority of Labour MPs have voted today to criminalise peaceful protest outside animal testing laboratories and dog breeding facilities. This could now result in peaceful protestors outside MBR acres in Huntington going to prison for up to a year with unlimited fines. This is a national disgrace #animalrights

We’re cracking down on puppy farms. It’s really important that we improve animal welfare in this country. I want to thank @martinheydontd for bringing forward a really ambitious plan of reform, better regulation when it comes to dog breeding, clearer rules around ages, number of litters and the dog’s welfare being at the heart of all decisions Really good and really important step forward.

This month marks a moment we’ll never forget. ❤️🐾 On July 1, 2026, after more than 6 decades, Ridglan Farms officially surrendered its dog breeding license, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for thousands of beagles. That day represented years of dedication, collaboration, and the belief that meaningful change was possible. As we continue welcoming beagles into our care, we’re reminded of just how significant this milestone truly is. To everyone who stood beside this mission and helped make this moment possible, thank you. July 1, 2026, will forever be a date we’ll never forget. ❤️ #rescuedog #beagle #ridglanfarms #bigdogranchrescue
