Ever wondered what our monthly litter picks look like? 🚮✨ We recently teamed up with Ant from the Neighbourhood Wardens to tackle the Viaduct area after a suggestion from our Community Champion volunteers. It’s not just about picking up cans, we also deal with fly-tipping and help ensure our streets stay safe and tidy. Remember, leaving waste out improperly can lead to council fines, so let’s work together to keep Durham looking its best! 🤝 Join our next Litter Pick! We had the pleasure of teaming up with @kpeuauoft @greenmovescampaign_uoft this Monday to host a cleanup on the UofT campus! In a short amount of time we saw eager staff, students, and volunteers. Together, we collected 2,817 pieces of litter from the campus grounds. 👀 This is a great reminder that litter still exists under all that snow. As part of Sustainability Week, join us for our last Repair Café of 2025-2026. 📍 Meeting Place�📅 Wednesday, March 18th�⏰ 12–4 PM Bring your broken items and give them a second life with the help of skilled volunteers from Repair Café Toronto – Port Union. Repairing instead of replacing helps reduce waste, save resources, and support a more sustainable campus. Just remember to bring your own refillable containers to help us reduce single-use plastic. You can access The Sustainable Pantry at the York SU Helpdesk (at the Student Centre) Monday-Friday 10am - 4pm during term time, and at the Ron Cooke Hub.
