Jane Archibald, like so many women across Nova Scotia, has dense breasts. She is now living with the consequences of a late-stage breast cancer diagnosis because the screening available in other provinces simply doesn’t exist here. Nova Scotia needs a provincial women’s health strategy, grounded in evidence, to inform and drive the work of government. If this government were serious about women’s health care, we’d see real action, not more cuts to the already limited funding for women’s health research.
