Drawing a Skull a Day 212 💀🖊️
All about consistency. Always beats grand gestures. Slow and steady wins the race always.
I had fun drawing this and I hope you have fun watching me draw this.
I’m drawing a skull everyday for 365 days straight, if you want to follow along follow -> @joelmatheson_

Drawing a donkey for the fun of it.
A quick study in a small sketchbook with pen, brush and Indian ink. It is not so easy when your subject moves around, but he/she was curious and cute. It was like I had to learn to draw again. But that makes a drawing interesting, when it is not perfect.
For those interested in plein air drawing, nature-based abstract art, and the raw, experimental side of the creative process.
Creating and stylizing characters with the Drawing Practice Book is genuinely easy and so much fun! Mix the ready-made shapes and get a brand new character every time 🫶 10 different themes and over 1000 possible variations. Perfect for beginners and kids 💕
You’ll also find sections with photo references so you can learn to draw from photos without copying them, stylizing instead using simple shapes 💥
The book is a PDF: print it out, draw in any sketchbook or use it on your tablet, whatever works best for you 🎨

Day 58 of painting for 100 days. I saw this idea from @natamurr and thought it was so fun. Drawing something from different perspectives is a great way to get a page full of things to paint. This one was especially delicious. 😋
For this painting I used:
-micron 05 black pen
-sakura watercolor paints
-Posca colored pencils
All products are linked in my bio.

Every drawing starts as a mess of random lines. I never know exactly where it’s going, but that’s what keeps it fun. Somehow the chaos always finds its way into a finished piece. 🖊️🐸

Can This Trick Improve Your Drawing? 😳 Or its just for fun ?

Comment “drills” below and I’ll send you the info for the Drawing Drills course.
Drawing gets a lot more fun when your hand can actually keep up with your imagination.
That’s what the Drawing Drills are designed to train.
Line control, hand-eye coordination, perspective, construction, form, hatching, texture, and all the little skills working underneath every drawing you make.
You practice them individually until they stop demanding so much attention.
Then when it’s time to actually create, you can spend less energy thinking about how to draw and more energy deciding what you want to say.
Practice the language until expression becomes fluent.
