Making Katniss’s fire dress, part 2! featuring my parents lighting me on fire, because yes - we did the thing :D AND AGAIN PLEASE DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME THERE IS SO MUCH SAFETY STUFF HAPPENING THAT IS NOT SHOWN IN THIS 30 SECOND VIDEO But part 2 of this build was mostly sewing the base red dress - and though its a little bit silly since I was just going to light it on fire, I am REALLY proud of how well made this dress is? So much of the skirt is hand sewn to mimic her original dress’s pleats, and the draping and fit are super unique! There aren’t really details you catch in a 30 second video where I light the dress on fire, but I’m super proud of em nonetheless. :D If you are interested in the whole adventure that was making this dress though - check out the full YouTube tutorial!! I’m really happy with all of the safety and experimentation I did for it, and how it worked out in the end! :) Also, I’m so sorry it took me so long to post part 2! I’ve been working on a ~secret~ project that took all my time for the past few weeks (but I’ll be able to share it in a few days!!) But now I’m off to the next project!!
