🎼 CAN YOU IDENTIFY THE CORRECT MELODY JUST BY LISTENING? It’s time to put your musical ear to the test! Listen carefully to the three options and answer: which melody is correct, A, B, or C? 🎹👂 Pay close attention to the direction of the notes, intervals, rhythm, and melodic movement. Sometimes, just one different note is enough to fool your ear! Don’t rush. If necessary, listen again, compare each option, and focus on the small details before making your choice. This exercise helps develop ear training, auditory memory, interval recognition, and melodic perception, essential skills for musicians, students, and music teachers. Now it’s your turn: A, B, or C? Leave your answer in the comments and challenge a musician friend to try it too! #EarTraining #MusicChallenge #MusicTheory #MusicEducation #musician

I spent thousands of hours practicing piano before I realized this: Exploration might be one of the most important parts of becoming a creative musician. For this clip, I picked 4 completely random chords/tonal centers before I even played a note. Then I forced myself to create melodies, connect ideas, and make the whole thing work. In my opinion, this is one of the best ways to practice creativity and improvisation because it trains so many things at once: • Ear training • Harmony • Melody • Voice leading • Creativity • Problem solving • Musical vocabulary • Technique/ Chops You can’t rely on muscle memory when the chords are random. You have to actually think, listen, react, and create. I may turn this into a series. Give me 4 random chords in the comments for the next video. Just 4. 😭 The more random, the better. It’ll force me to keep shedding and stay accountable… and the same goes for you. If you’re a musician, try this exercise yourself and tag me in your videos. I’d love to see what you come up with. Also… What should this series be called? 🤔 Drop your suggestions below. Follow @_andrecrawford for more music, fitness, and artist lifestyle content 🎹💪🏾
