Explaination 👇
The name "Earth" doesn't come from a single person-it evolved over time from ancient languages.
The word comes from Old English "eorbe", which meant ground or soil.
It also has roots in Germanic languages (like Old High German "erda").
Unlike most planets (like Mars or Jupiter), Earth is not named after a god.
So basically, no one officially "named" Earth-people in ancient times just used their everyday word for the ground they lived on, and it became the planet's name over time.

This has to be one of the most epic hikes that I did in Kandersteg last week. Seeing this person standing at the lookout, I couldn’t stop myself from taking this shot. I spent almost an hour just sitting around this area admiring the scenery. The panorama trail above Lake Oeschinensee is a 3-5 hour hike and is a must-do on clear days.

👨🚀Astronauts' bodies absorb radiation equivalent to 8 chest X-rays per day. In 6 months, that’s more than most humans receive in a lifetime.
On the ISS orbit (Earth at 28,000 km/h) — they witness 16 sunrises every single day.
Muscles forget gravity exists. Bones lose 1–2% density per month. The spine stretches — astronauts return up to 3 cm taller.
And yet — they keep going back.
Because some views are worth the risk.

What’s really inside the Earth?
The deepest hole anyone has ever dug is only 0.2% of the way to the Earth’s center. But then….how do we know that our Earth has a solid core?!?
For a long time we thought the entire inside was molten, until a scientist looked at how ripples from earthquakes – seismic waves – bounced around inside the earth.
Now we know we have a solid inner core that rotates at a different rate than on the surface, and right now it’s slowing down!
To find out why, follow along!

What we see on a map is not always an exact representation of reality. Most world maps use the Mercator projection, which preserves direction for navigation but distorts size and distance especially as we move away from the equator.
In this image, two distances are compared one across Africa and one across Russia. Although one appears shorter on the map, it is actually longer in reality, showing how visual perception can differ from true measurements on Earth.

This is the cinematic scene describes a “Crescent Earth” view, a popular, high-resolution animation depicting three lunar rovers traveling toward a stunning Earthrise on the horizon.
It highlights the beauty of lunar exploration and the distant, fragile perspective of home. Such visuals often celebrate the legacy of Apollo-era Lunar Roving Vehicles.
Key Elements of the Vision:
Three Lunar Rovers: Represents a stylized vision of exploration, reminiscent of the Apollo 15, 16, and 17 missions that used Lunar Roving Vehicles (LRVs) in the 1970s.
The Horizon View: Features Earth, often appearing as a “Crescent Earth,” a common perspective portrayed in modern digital renderings of the lunar surface.
Context: This imagery is frequently shared to inspire interest in space exploration, including initiatives like NASA’s #ObserveTheMoon Night.
The “Earthrise” Phenomenon: A famous, true photograph taken by Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders in 1968, highlighting the fragility of Earth in the vastness of space.#moon

EARTH FROM SPACE 🌏 Part 331
✨FUN FACT : Many believe Earth flat ;however, its not. In fact it’s round (technically an oblate spheroid), and it has been proven in multiple times by astronauts, satellites photograph of spherical planet, during lunar eclipses when the Earth casts a curved shadow on the Moon, ships disappear bottom-first over the horizon due to curvature, and modern GPS, aviation routes, and satellite communications only function accurately because Earth is a round globe.

Neil deGrasse Tyson explains a simple way to test whether the Earth is flat or curved.
If several people stand at different heights in a tall building and watch the sunset, the people higher up will see the Sun for longer.
On a flat Earth, everyone would see the sunset disappear at the same time.
But because the Earth is curved, the horizon changes depending on your height — which is why the person on the roof sees the Sun last.
You don’t need complicated science. You can test it yourself.
