Guided by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to empowering youth, Uzbekistan has earned the honor of hosting the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2026 — one of the world’s most prestigious programming competitions. This is no coincidence. Nearly 60% of our 38 million population is under 30, and the passion for IT is growing rapidly: • 1+ million young people have received free online IT education through the One Million Uzbek Coders program — and half of them are girls. • Over $1 million reimbursed to 4,000 youth for professional IT certifications. • More than 200,000 people now employed in the ICT sector, with 100,000 young freelancers. • In just 3 years, 55,000 graduates from IT centers — almost half already employed. • State fully covers tuition fees for women in master’s programs. • The President Tech Award offers a $1 million prize fund for startups, while the Digital Inclusion program allocates $50 million to create IT jobs and train 25,000 youth. • Over 77,000 students study IT at universities, with 12,000 graduates this year — many joining large IT companies and IT Park residents. Our youth are already making us proud on the world stage: • EGOI (Germany) — 2 bronze medals. • IOI 2025 (Bolivia) — 1 silver, 1 bronze. See you in Uzbekistan next year for IOI 2026!

‎يشكّل برنامج “مهندس المستقبل”، الذي تنظمه هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال”، نموذجاً عملياً للاستثمار في رأس المال البشري، من خلال إعداد جيل واعد من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية بالمعرفة والمهارات الهندسية التي تمكّنهم من فهم متطلبات المستقبل والمشاركة في بنائه، تجسيداً لتوجّه الدولة نحو تمكين الشباب وتعزيز قدراتهم بما يسهم في تطوير كوادر وطنية قادرة على قيادة التنمية، بما يتماشى مع ركيزة التنمية البشرية في رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030. 

The Engineer of the Future program, organised by Ashghal, represents a practical model for investing in human capital by equipping high school students with foundational engineering knowledge and skills that prepare them to shape the future.  The program reflects Qatar’s commitment to empowering youth and developing national talent capable of leading sustainable development, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
