Not every engine oil tells the same story. 🛢️
The color and level of your engine oil can reveal a lot about your engine’s health.
🟤 Light Brown / Clean
Your oil is still fresh and doing its job.
🟤 Dark Brown
Normal condition after some use.
⚫ Very Dark / Black
Time for an oil change.
⚠️ Low Level
Running with low oil can seriously damage your engine.
Keep your engine running smooth — regular oil checks and changes make all the difference.

An engine flush cleans the inside of the engine’s oil system.
Over time, engine oil can leave behind sludge, varnish, carbon, and other deposits. Engine flush helps break down and suspend those deposits so they drain out with the old oil.
Think of it like cleaning the engine internally:
Old deposits/sludge → flush loosens them → oil carries them → old oil is drained → fresh oil goes in.
It can help clean areas such as oil passages, lifters, piston-ring areas, the oil pan, and other oil-lubricated components.
What it doesn’t do is repair worn engine parts, fix low compression, stop serious oil consumption, or magically restore a damaged engine.

Ford 2.0 EcoBlue Won’t Start | Wet Timing Belt Failure Diagnosis.
•
In this video, we work on a 2019 Ford Transit equipped with the 2.0 EcoBlue (YMR6) diesel engine. The vehicle was towed into the workshop because the engine would crank but would not start. The mileage at the time of failure is 231,000 km.
•
During the initial inspection, the starter turned the engine normally, but the sound immediately suggested a complete loss of compression. After removing the oil filler cap, the most likely cause of the failure became obvious.
•
The Ford 2.0 EcoBlue uses a timing belt that runs inside the engine oil. This “wet belt” design is one of the best-known weak points of these engines.
•
Although the timing belt had previously been replaced with genuine parts at approximately 130,000 km, using the correct Ford-approved engine oil, the belt failed after only about 100,000 km, well before the official replacement interval.
•
The most common failure is belt delamination or stripped teeth, causing incorrect valve timing, loss of compression, and complete engine failure.
•
In this video, we begin the diagnosis by disassembling the engine, inspecting the timing belt, and assessing the internal damage to determine whether the engine can be repaired.
•
The video explains the most common wet timing belt failures on the Ford 2.0 EcoBlue engine and shows the complete diagnostic process step by step.

🛢️ — How Does an Oil Pump Work?
Have you ever wondered how engine oil reaches all the moving parts inside your car’s engine?
It starts in the oil pan, where the lubricant collects after circulating through the engine.
When the engine starts, the oil pump begins to rotate. It draws oil through a pickup tube and sends it under pressure into the engine’s internal oil passages.
From there, the oil reaches critical components like the crankshaft, connecting rods, and camshaft, creating a thin protective layer between moving metal surfaces.
This reduces friction, controls heat, and helps prevent premature wear.
And the interesting part?
The oil pump keeps doing this continuously while the engine is running, quietly protecting hundreds of moving parts every second. 🛢️⚙️
A small pump with a huge responsibility inside your engine.

Ever wonder why your car needs a specific oil grade?
This experiment shows exactly how engine oil viscosity works! The numbers you see (like 5W30 or 20W50) represent the oil's resistance to flow.
As the metal bearings drop, you can see the 0W20 oil allows for the fastest movement, while the 20W50 is much thicker, creating more "drag." Choosing the right viscosity is crucial for protecting your engine during cold starts and maintaining lubrication at high temperatures.
Keep your engine running smooth by sticking to your manufacturer's recommendation!
