🌟How to get a healthy bright smile from a dentist 🌟 *not an ad * This is my humble informed opinion! 👩🏼‍⚕️🤓 1. Electric toothbrush. Oral B Pro 3 (£45ish) & Spotlight (£65) shown. These would be considered good value and mid range respectively. I rate a long battery life and the option of reducing the reps/min intensity. Both deliver. 2. Water flossers. I use mine nightly. *Use before brushing!! ( to avoid rinsing away your good toothpaste). Lean over sink and fill with luke warm water (just more pleasant than ice cold water). Waterpik £55 six months ago but up to £65 on amazon now. Shop around! 3. Proenemal.. This toothpaste doesn’t produce a lot of froth and not everyone likes that. Sodium Laurel Sulphate (SLS) is the chemical responsible for the foaming action in toothpastes but it can be a factor contributing to mouth ulcers 👎🏻. This toothpaste is SLS free & is great for sensitive teeth. Don’t rinse after! 4. Whitening tray and bleach. Safe, effective way to have BRIGHT healthy smile . Wearing overnight tray 1/2 times every 3 months helps remove coffee/ tea stains that can get between your teeth in between visits to your dentist/hygienist. And we have to maintain everything in life don’t we?? 5. and lastly retainers/ night gaurd- You can omit this if you have naturally straight teeth and don’t grind them. ↪️Nightgaurd: Signs that you grind: micro stresses/ lines visible in your teeth close up, sharp, thinned and chipped teeth (or you may have symptoms of headaches/ jaw tension). Worn teeth are harder to whiten and appear duller. Wearing a night gaurd protects teeth from fractures and shortening. I wear a bottom protective gaurd as shown. And a top retainer. ↪️Retainers: Teeth are always drifting in our lifetime. Have any of you thought to yourself ‘my tooth is more crowded than it used to be’ or ‘it never used to be that bad’. Retainers are the only way to stop teeth moving. 👁️‍🗨️Fact: People who have had braces are more likely to have drifting than those who’ve never had braces. Wear it ⏯️ reduce the numbers of nights in week you wear over the years 🔄 but never more than a week without 🙌
