Ownership, intellectual property, as a creative entrepreneur you can partner with brands (percentage rate) or you can work for brands & “give” them your talents for a fee! @iamscottevans & I have both worked at NBC UNIVERSAL & own none of the work, have no rights to the work that we did there! Scott was shocked to learn that I also don’t own the interviews from my Sirius XM show, BEVELATIONS! I own the name, but not the content, the interviews that take place in their studios & that was ok, until it wasn’t! Scott and I are on the same page, we will work within a system but we WON’T give up our IP, anymore! @essence #BWIH an extravaganza & I felt extravagant in my @hm collection look, it was HEAD TO TOE (except the shoes) but everything else was from their beautiful showroom on Sunset, I keep telling the celeb girlies to come through!!! Speaking of coming through, the girlies were out at the 19th annual BLACK WOMEN IN HOLLYWOOD soirée, it was amazing & in my opinion it was one of the best it’s been in recent years! If you’re a Black woman in entertainment it’s a magical room to be in, it’s like a family reunion, sorority, summer camp! Unit - @kiyahwright1 Hairstyling - Cory Makeup - @facebymanu Styling - @hm Mark & John

After the loss of my grandmother, something shifted in me where I decided I just wanted to do me! Professionally, I just felt like “fuck it” what will come will come and it came. It came to fund this project! I’m extremely proud of the momentum and the BMBC team. From the glitz and the glam to the diversity of our guests you will see S3 is the moment! Tell @oprah her successor is here 💕🥂💕
