What a great weekend exploring @visitescanaba! From chasing walleyes on Little Bay de Noc to finding so many great local spots (more on that soon!), this trip had it all. The UP is truly something special, and I’m glad I’m getting to see more of it in recent years. Like any big water, Little Bay de Noc takes time to break down. Just because you see photos of giant fish doesn’t mean they come easy. That one fish that could change your life might take all day—or all weekend—to find. We put in the work, scouting access points, navigating pressure cracks, and staying mindful of ice safety with fresh snow hiding skim ice. Huge thanks to @katelynbeaver (did you see her 30” by the way?!?) and @bladesbaitandtackle for being key components for helping us dial in a plan. The bite was tough with shifting weather, but that’s what makes fishing so rewarding. No matter the conditions, we made the most of every moment, and having our @otteroutdoors flip-over shelter kept us comfortable through it all.
