If your dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in his 70s, this may feel close to home 👇🏻
This is my dad’s second cancer diagnosis. He just started treatment—and even with a medical background, I’m still scared.
His treatment, simply:
• Hormone therapy (Eligard / leuprolide) – lowers testosterone that fuels cancer growth. Side effects can include fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and fainting.
• Radiation (external beam / EBRT) – daily treatments for several months to shrink and control the tumor. Effective, but exhausting.
• Supportive monitoring – managing side effects and stamina.
He’s already been passing out- most recent syncopal episode was today, which is terrifying as a daughter living off-island.
As the eldest daughter in an immigrant Asian household, I carry a lot—responsibility, guilt, and the feeling I should be doing more for both my dad and my mom.
Radiation is about to begin again, and I’ll be honest: I’m nervous.
If you’ve been here:
• What helped your dad through treatment?
• How did you support your mom as the caregiver?
• Medical professionals—your perspective is welcome.
We’re choosing to walk through this together.
My dad will live a long, happy, healthy life and see his grandkids grow up. I truly believe in this and I’m choosing to speak ✨LIFE✨ into our current situation fear.
Follow along as we fight cancer—again—together 🤍

Why am I so happy?
Because I am ALIVE.
If there’s a man you love, PLEASE read this. It could save his life.
10 years ago, I thought it was over.
Cancer.
One word. Total fear.
Through God’s grace, today I’m cancer-free.
Every single day now feels like a win.
Why?
Because I got checked early.
Because the NHS gave me another shot at life.
And this is why I’m sharing this today.
Too many men suffer in silence.
We ignore the signs. We tell ourselves, “I’m fine. It’ll go away.” We don’t want to talk about it.
But we need to talk about this:
Getting checked is NOT weakness.
It is courage.
It is self-respect.
It is how you show up for your future — and for the people who love you.
If this post reaches ONE person — just one — who chooses to get checked, it’s done its job.
It could save a life. Just like getting checked early saved mine.
Please share this — and tag a man you care about.
It might be the nudge he needs.
Big up @djagonline and all those fighting and surviving. 🙏🏿

and I’ve experienced a lot of bad news.
Almost died from Crohn’s Disease.
Only way to survive my illness was to have life-altering ostomy surgery.
My father developed a rare blood disease that required a bone marrow transplant and he did not survive the chemo required to have it.
My uncle who had IBD before me was found to have stage 4 liver cancer and died a month later.
And now, it’s my turn…

Most people see me smiling and having an amazing time with the children and their families during visits. However, i wanted to show what it feels like when the children unfortunately lose the battle to cancer and pass away.
😥😥😥
After attending multiple funerals within 2 weeks i
Became emotional when i heard this song on the radio.
💔😥💔😥💔😥
EVERYONE that we meet is fighting a battle that we know nothing about.
🙏🏻😥🙏🏻😥🙏🏻😥🙏🏻
It could be a recent unexpected break up. Issues at work. Anxiety. Losing a loved one. Or countless other reasons.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💔🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
ALWAYS choose kindness and be the change that this world needs

I’m so proud of this boy right here. He is so full of love and compassion, and what he is doing soon is a perfect example of that.
Please support him by donating via the link in my bio or scanning the QR code at the end of this video.
Thank you to @beardandbonebarbers for supporting him and to @aidandean1 who will be cutting his hair off!
I can’t even begin to comprehend the hurt and pain Olly’s family are feeling, and how hard the coming weeks and months will be.
There’s nothing I can do to ease that pain, but as a community we can come together to support them during this most difficult time. RIP Olly ❤️

This photo isn’t about loss.
It’s about time.
On the right is Jake. He passed yesterday morning. On the left is a close friend who chose to be present when it mattered most. He and I were with Jake in his final moments.
Jake’s life is a reminder that tomorrow is never guaranteed, but love is always available right now. The time we have with the people who matter most is not something to postpone or assume will always be there.
Ask yourself honestly: Are you living in a way that leaves no regrets, spending real time with the people you love, and doing what truly makes you happy? OR - are you burning precious days trying to make everyone else comfortable?
Jake lived fully. He showed up. He loved deeply. Honor him by doing the same.
Choose presence over postponement, choose the people you love, and choose the life that feels true to you.
Please keep his wife, his children, and his family in your prayers.
(ps - this photo was taken when we were on Kilimanjaro together. - Dan...keep being awesome and making fun faces for us all! lol)

Morgen ist mein großer Check up. ❤️🩹
In jeder Form!!
