I’ve always said my best and worst quality is my overwhelming confidence. It’s helped me take big risks in my art career—but when it came to showing up online and sharing my work? That was a whole different story. For years, I struggled with depression, identity, and self-doubt. I had this deep creative drive and wild determination, but I also questioned everything about myself. Who was I to put my work out there? Who was I to take up space? Art became my anchor. I explored everything—FX makeup, photography, painting, sculpting—and by 10 years old, I knew I wanted to be a full-time artist. Not because it sounded cool, but because creating felt like breathing. I didn’t care how many people told me it was unrealistic—I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Still, the fear of being seen kept me quiet for a long time. It wasn’t until I invested in my healing, found mentors who believed in me, and started to trust my voice that I finally felt ready to show up online. And once I did, everything changed. I started building real community. Opportunities started coming in. I realized my story, my process, and my perspective mattered. And slowly, sharing became less about “proving” myself and more about connecting with others who’ve felt the same fears, doubts, or creative fire. Now at 24, I’ve run my creative business for 4 years, and the confidence to show up online has been one of the most powerful tools in my journey—not just for growth, but for self-acceptance.
