SECRET BBQ RESTAURANT IN A BACK GARDEN IN WALES - we gave him the surprise of his life… This is @texas_taff_bbq - he works full time as a plasterer but sells BBQ trays from his shed 2x a month (drop him a DM to buy a tray). True Texas style, self taught all from youtube and friends…. Big thanks to @flatpay for making this happen, Dan will be going to Austin in September, to shadow the no1 Texas smokehouse in the world @burntbeanco , then next year, will trade at @fume_bbq_festival to compete with the best pitmasters around the world. For decades, people like @realbarbaraoneill who teach the truth about food, herbs, and natural remedies have been censored. She was banned in Australia for giving health advice. And like so many of us, if you talk about what plants have traditionally been used for, or share stories of what you’ve personally witnessed, or even worse, question whether pharmaceuticals are the only path… You face scrutiny. Or restrictions. Or worse. 🤬 I’ve been in this world my whole life. I grew up watching my dad formulate herbs that supported people when they felt like they had nowhere else to turn. I’ve seen cayenne 🌶️ used traditionally to stimulate circulation and blood. I’ve seen slippery elm soothe irritated tissues. But we have to be very careful what we say. What I can say is: Plants have been part of human healing long before modern systems existed. 🌿 And it’s time to remember that. 11 years working together… and we still like each other 😂 My brother-in-law, my Director of Administration, and the second highest executive in the company. He’s been holding it down with me for almost 12 years now. We talk business all day, switch to family mode at night, argue about strategy, then laugh 5 minutes later. Not everyone can mix family and business… But when the loyalty is real, it just works. Built different.
