“Mom, the zipper on my backpack broke!!” shared Caleb and exasperation, followed by a short laugh as we were getting ready for the last day of school today. I looked at him with empathy, then said “that’s okay, bud, you don’t really need a backpack on the last day of school anyway!” “I guess you’re right! I just need my water bottle and lunchbox! No homework!” …and with that, fifth grade is done ✅ 📚✏️🏫 Just one more year of elementary school for this amazing kid, and next year we are finally going to have TWO kids at ONE school for ONE YEAR!! 🎉🎉🎉 And now begins the shortest 8-week summer break ever with the changing academic calendar 🤪 Happy last day of school everyone in #Sacramento ☀️ #LastDayofSchool #SummerBreak #Summer #Family

Stanford TE #88 Benji Blackburn was born and raised right here in Miami, had my mom in fifth grade... AND participated in NFeLementary (wasn’t called that back then 😅 ), where he dratted the Pittsburgh Steelers!!! From drafting an NFL team in elementary school to playing college football on the BIG stage!!!! So full circle. He will have to report back if he’s still a Steelers fan 👀 👀 #nfl #NFeLementary #football #teacher
