Today we’re using our cameras to scan our negatives! There are a few ways to do this, including using a light board or a specific rig for camera scanning. You also don’t need to use a negative holder but it does make it easier! Other tips include doing this in the dark to reduce reflections on the film, especially if using a negative holder!

I just published a YouTube video on my “affordable” at home film developing and scanning setup.. it’s been 6 years since I processed film at home. While getting back on the saddle, I found out about @soke.engineering and their new Knokke scanner. Looks like it might be the first modern scanner that could compete with the iconic film scanners of the past like my favorite Fujifilm Frontier and the Noritsu.
