Save this to transform your B Roll! 🙌 This is Day 8 of Jumpstart January, my free 31-day challenge to get your Instagram flying into 2026! New here? Comment JUMPSTART for the full challenge guide! Day 8 is all about taking an hour to batch film a load of B Roll to help you easily make content in January and beyond. A few extra tips from me: ✱ You can do this anywhere! But if you are a business, filming where you work is brilliant. Ideally your clips should help portray your niche and bring your world to life. ✱ Pick four tasks that embody what your world is about. So, in my stationery business, I would pick making and packing our products. ✱ Clean your phone lens before you start!! ✱ You don’t need any equipment for this, but I do find my tripod FAB! It’s in my bio under ‘tools I use’ if you want to grab one (it also films overhead) ✱ Turn off any overhead lights and use natural light if you can, it makes everything look 1000x times better ✱ Film about 10 seconds for each clip, and try to have some movement in each one (i.e. don’t just have you sitting there) ✱ As soon as you’ve filmed them, pop them in your folders we made last week, and you are good to go! And lastly… yes, it feels a bit cringe, but trust me, future you will love you! Fancy giving this a go?! ⭐️ Want to get the full Jumpstart January Challenge guide with all 31 ideas? Comment JUMPSTART and I’ll send it over! ⭐️ If you’re taking part, let us know how you are getting on so we can come and support you! 😍 #filmingtips #instagramtips #contentmarketing #reelsstrategy #socialmediamarketingstrategy

This is the easiest way to film a ton of content that lives within the same WORLD 🌎 This helps enhance your visual identity as an artist, which helps fans understand you & your music at a higher level - leading to more fans. Use this for your next shoot and thank me later! 🔥 Comment “CHEATCODE” for a content playbook that breaks down the most popular content formats for you to steal TODAY #musicmarketing #musicmarketingtips #musicindustry
If you’ve been here for a while you know I’m a huge advocate for not needing fancy camera gear in order to get good results. As my career has evolved and I’ve begun filming more professionally I have acquired equipment as I’ve needed it but to this day I will still use my iPhone to film at least 50% of the time because it is incredibly practical, easy and I always have it on me! As promised, my settings are: 4k50 (if you’re in an NTSC region use 24/30/60p) H.264 codec Apple Log color space Shutter 1/100 (180 rule most of the time) Display LUT on (using my cine LUT here) ISO (I adjust scene depending) and WB is usually auto as I’ll fix in post As with most things, lighting plays a huge part so before you worry about any fancy gear, make sure you have yourself some good lighting options. Doesn’t need to be expensive, just find what works for you!

Save this for your next filming day👇🏼📸 Taking high quality and crisp content doesn't need to break the bank, and certainly doesn't require a studio setup (fun fact, most of these clips were taken with an iPhone 13!) Let's get into it 👇🏼 1️⃣ film in 4k, 60FPS and please for the love of everything that is good, turn off HDR 2️⃣ natural lighting only! Ring lights don't have the same effect as sunlight will have. I'll always film during a particular time of the day to capture the best sunlight. It's not as convenient but makes a world of difference 3️⃣ take multiple shots A simple tip we tend to overlook. Move slow and steady - that way when editing you don't need to opt for a shot you aren't entirely happy with 4️⃣ use the sharpen tool When editing be sure to use the sharpen tool. I use CapCut and tend to sharpen by +12 or so 5️⃣ export in 1080p!! One of the most important tips: Instagram will compress videos above 1080p, reducing quality. As long as you have filmed in 4k, then export in 1080p you'll be fine! 6️⃣ practice practice practice with your macro lens! Having a macro lens doesn't guarantee high quality content. Test distances between the product and your camera, product sizes and even angles for optimal results Shall we keep this series going?
