Students from across the Juanita learning community came together on February 5 for a heartwarming regional choir concert. The event, hosted inside the Juanita High School Field House, brought together young singers from Keller Elementary, Juanita Elementary, Muir Elementary, Thoreau Elementary, Kamiakin Middle School, Finn Hill Middle School and the Juanita High School choir.
The combined choir performed the uplifting piece “Sisi Ni Moja,” a song whose title means “We Are One” in Swahili. The message behind the music served as a reminder that, despite our differences, all human beings share much in common. Students of all ages stood shoulder to shoulder, filling the space with harmony, unity and joy.

NYJO, the Nottingham Youth JAZZ Orchestra give us a favourite ‘lollipop’ as part of their Jazz-in-the-bar at the NYO 🌷Spring Concert. Incredible to think they started the academic year with many new players and are still on TOP FORM! No wonder they were a hit at their recent gig in Lady Bay. We LOVE what you do NYJO - you bring us cheerfulness & smiles! 💕
Happy #MusicInOurSchoolsMonth! We are celebrating throughout the month of March with our student musicians and our building principals to learn about the impact music has on their school... and we're going to give them a listening challenge or two along the way!
Leading us off are Windom Elementary principal, Mrs. Glowacki, and Maxwell. 🎶
Let's head to the middle school today to hear from Mr. Matson! #MIOSM #unitedthroughmusic
