CCD MAGAZINE'S MONDAY MORNING MINUTE | 41-acre Fox Park Mixed-Use Development in Denver -
Reporting from 44th & Fox Street, CCD Magazine’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jaime Clark Miles, provides an update about Fox Park, a 41-acre mixed-use development project located in Denver, CO - between the Sunnyside and Globeville neighborhoods, west of I-25 and south of I-70.
🚧 The PROJECT: The Fox Park Redevelopment project is the next great expansion of Denver’s urban core. The 41-acre mixed-use project is planned to include a new world trade center, Colorado’s first Virgin Hotel, office and residential space, and 14 acres of outdoor parks and amenities. The site was previously home to The Denver Post’s printing plant and the former Denver Brick and Pipe Co.
The development will also incorporate a 24,000 square foot grocery store, bike paths, pedestrian trails, and underground parking with a courtyard on top. The Denver Botanic Gardens will be involved in creating a tree canopy and planting native grasses.
The project is planned to be completed in phases over a ten-year period. The first phase will focus on building a parking garage. Subsequent phases will include the construction of the theater and a hotel, along with an "urban resort" (URWLD) that will feature immersive, active lifestyle experiences like indoor surfing, scuba diving, and ice climbing.
🚧 Development/project team: Pure Development, Saunders Construction, Tryba Architects, Terracon, American Demolition, Inc.
