Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis was vandalized on the morning of August 31st, 2026. A man (identified in one report as Lynn Jackson) targeted two historic Freemason-related buildings. He began at the Scottish Rite Cathedral on Meridian Street around 10 a.m., where he smashed four stained-glass windows, threw a hammer through a fifth, and spray-painted graffiti on the exterior (including a message reading something like “You who place brick above all”). He then crossed the street to the Indianapolis Masonic Temple / Masonic Library and Museum of Indiana. There he spray-painted red graffiti (including “Geometry provides no begin only expands middle” or a similar phrase on the exterior), defaced interior marble, statues/busts, logos, and century-old framed pictures, and marked the 1909 cornerstone. A security guard, Tiffany Robinson, confronted him. He made anti-Masonic statements, saying he hated the Masons, wished they were dead/buried, and referenced his grandfather having been a Mason for 32 years (plus claims about the organization having money). He waited for police after she called them. Officers initially treated it as possible misdemeanor vandalism but arrested him on vandalism and intimidation charges after hearing the threats. Police noted possible mental-health issues and that he had not been taking medication; they have not publicly classified it as a hate crime. *I'm assuming* that it was given to me by my step grandpa. my grandma on my mom's sides second husband...he was such a kind, loving person(he passed last winter), he was from cuba and as a child I remember him with a big afro and tons of gold on his hands, wrists and neck, at all times. he loves jewels and gold. when my grandma passed in 2018 I saw him at her funeral(they had been divorced for years at this point)...he gave me his card so I would have his phone numbers. I knew of the freemason's but not a lot at the time, I did a deep dive later and holy shit it's scary. so I had asked him if it was a cult and he laughed and said no, it's a brotherhood, he told me he has the emblem on his license plate, sticker on his car, a tattoo, all these identifiers....pretty crazy. looking at old pictures and noticing this...he must've been the one to give me this teddy bear. anyway he was a 32nd degree mason, so while I'd love to say he was a lower rank and probably thought he was doing good...well, 33 is the highest rank so I wonder just how much he knew. #freemason #illuminati #freemasons

The Danish Order of Freemasons (Den Danske Frimurerorden) —is headquartered in a monumental, historic building called Freemasons’ Hall (Stamhuset) located on Blegdamsvej 23 in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen. It was designed by the architect Holger Rasmussen (who was himself a Freemason) and completed in 1927. The cornerstone was laid in 1924 by King Christian X, who served as the Grand Master of the order. The main Danish Order of Freemasons is quite unique internationally because it operates under the Swedish Rite. Unlike Anglo-American Freemasonry (which only requires a member to believe in a generic “Supreme Being” or “Great Architect of the Universe”), the Swedish Rite is explicitly and strictly Christian.
